What would be wrong with having an open meeting of fans at KGH?

Meetings of Fans Groups being set up, invitation only and held behind closed doors, with only at best a scare list of minutes published weeks afterwards is bound to raise suspicions.

You could have a pre-set agenda, limit the q&a etc so it doesn't descend into chaos.

Is it just me thats wound about about Taylors comments "Venkys out banalities" what does he expect after everything thats gone on? Makes me so angry this sort of dismissive and divisive drivel. 6yrs since they took over, on the brink of league 1 and £120m in debt, but you keep talking Bill and dividing the support in the process with stupid comments like the above :angry2:

No amount of discussion or debate, £500k parties for ex mayors to attend, or free trips to Pune for fans forum members have made the slightest bit of difference, and I also agree no amount of complaining has helped either! but another meeting and another group looking to help, how about some action for a change, now there's an idea.

no Gav it wasn't only you who didn't like it. I couldn't see why he'd say it. Having a go at fellow fans doesn't sound good if you're trying to suggest it's a new era of fan involvement

Big miss not inviting BRFCC representatives. Biggest fan site going.

Unreal to think that there are now people talking about respect and trust as though it's a stick to beat the long suffering fans with. A lot of bridges need building and they need to start from the club's side - and they could be waiting a while.

There are about 10,000 fans who the club have lost for the foreseeable future (or at least until the next glamour cup tie). They could do to start thinking about how to get them back rather than keep digging at those determined not to be driven away by mismanagement and neglegent ownership.

He's after an invite to one of Balaji's shin digs with that ex mayor. Plus haven't Venkys been known to be generous to Bburn council in the past ? Just how did they get an invite to meet the old bean ?

This was a meeting without appropriate BRFC Representation.

And the big point is that the true news around OUR Football Club is that we have our own BREXIT taking place.

A meeting just papering over the massive cracks.

I guess you and Glenn are hard people to reach what with the site and your social media presence. What is this, 1997?

Worse than that. Venkys have taken us back to the Dark Ages.

I would have thought that quite a number of posters on this MB were known by name at the Club - and quite easily contacted.

If 6000 have been sold thus far, I would still expect us to push 8000.

Still, a large drop on the 10500 figure half season ticket sales over Christmas 2015.

And just to reflect on the Venky era- We had almost 20000 ST holders in 2009.

There will no doubt be a few more late renewals and the "odd" new ST holder. However the final figure is looking like it will be a % reduction possibly in excess of 30% over the 2015/16 sales.

That will be a dreadful indictment of the present state of t'Rovers if that is the case.

If we do reach 8,000 Matty then that would equate to the number of ST holders who bothered to turn up at the latter part of last season. Some of our home gates reported to me from the Rovers Control Room were around the 9,000 mark including away fans.

And if Cheston, Coar or Pasha had any @#/? they would be inviting some of the disillusioned ex season ticket holders to a meeting and try and get one of the fools over from India.

  • Moderation Lead

To borrow Tomphil's expression, it's all 'window dressing'. They've no intention of sorting things out, but they'll make it look as though they are. The only people that can do anything about it are in India and they don't care.

Yep. If these guys want to fiddle whilst Rome burns then that's up to them, but don't pretend it's anything other than a distraction tactic.
