The players and Coyle were there for half an hour and after a slow start season tickets were flying off the shelves. Whoever is in charge of the spin at Ewood is really trying their best.

It's a shame really that he is here under the circumstances. I quite want to like Coyley.

The circumstances however are:

- 6 years of detestable owners

- 5 poor managers, including 4 non-managers

- 4 different "chairmen" and yet nobody in control

- 1 relegation, nearly three

- 0 board

- 0 money being spent on transfers despite player sales and rich owners

- poor relationship with fans, and treat them like idiots (tickets flying off the shelves... in half an hour)

- lowest quality, most threadbare squad in 26 years

- lowest gates in 20-plus years

- he's an ex Dingle, having promoted them leading them on the path to overtake us

- he has a crap record over the last 8-9 years

- he isn't convincing in his knowledge, or lack of, about football agencies

- his appointment has further divided the fanbase

- he wears a full kit at pitch side

So in short, we are stuck with him and it'll be all about results.

We are a good club, with good fans, we don't deserve to be treated like this. I hope we one day wake up from this Venky-addled nightmare.

I totally agree Stuart.

I've had enough and tried my bit to attempt to assist some form of change but no avail.

I started a long drawn out post but deleted it:

The club needs people at the helm that Rovers fans can identify with to move forward. What's happened to the 'shoe in' recruitment campaign for Pasha? (Joke)

I'd like to get behind OC but somehow can't because I think he's on the gravy train.

If only some bugger would come out of the woodwork and nail these bast@rds that have ruined our club.

As a supporter from 1966, I've always believed and keep the faith (difficult admittedly)

WE ARE The Rovers!!!

With the way he so easily shoots straight from the lip all that's missing really is a bit actual of lip licking. Surely he can't be as bad as that dodo on the field though ?

Mind you he's nothing to work with at all compared to that reptile.

I live in hope!

Good point about Pacha, by the way. Which India linguist student got the role in the end?

The players put in a proper shift?!?! They did half an hour!

1984 had less propaganda and a more objective media department then our lot.

Also feasibly in half an hour how many can they do? No wonder fans feel there's no support when feeling dissatisfied

It makes me wonder why the 'sales team' itself isnt ringing around non-renewers to try generate sales, and instead is slagging those fans off in the local press.

How do Brentford get away with having a terraced area, Oh how I wish we had one, again.

Think they get a period of grace to change things. They have a new all seater stadium in the pipeline so probably are being given some leeway because of that, even though they haven't even started building it yet.

Celtic have just opened a German style terraced/standing area. Their fans love it.

Its an interesting development that at Celtic, I seem to recall last season or possibly the season before the fans that congregated in that corner had been threatened with season ticket dispersal orders due to bad behavior on match days both at home and away games.

Now they've given the same sections of support a standing area! some would say typical Celtic rhetoric and no action, but thats another story.

But that part aside its a good development that safe standing has been introduced in UK, the Hillsborough disaster was the catalyst for getting rid of terracing and we know that was down to lies and police incompetence that those poor fans died, not the terracing system itself.

The club rang this morning. Wife answered and told the guy I would be back when the owners leave. Apparently he just laughed. They know the situation well enough, but there's little they can do about it.

That's pretty pathetic. He should have had the nous, script or remit to ask to ring back to discuss with you. And a list of solutions to overcome objections. Token exercise in play, unless he's heard the same answer numerous times already and has no way of overcoming that particular response. If so what did they expect and why bother?

My young brother had exactly the same reaction.

But plenty from player sales.

I heard a scraping noise from Ewood this week. I could have sworn it was a big barrel.

You missed off tv revenue and parachute payments.

Not sure many other clubs have to have a section in persuading fans to get STs that say the owners don't get any money. Glad the club realise the owners are reviled. Question is will anyone tell the owners?
