[Archived] Protest Ideas...

If the game was delayed via fan actions, it would get media coverage. Venky's may or may not be arsed but at least it would be a start.

Our support is so fractured that I would be very surprised if anything happened other than Venky's Out chants and perhaps two or three bods attempting to get on the pitch.

It's ferkin laughable.

Cheston has taken on so many roles, he'll still be trying to remove the brush that's half way up his arse.

Burnley Bob will be p!ssing his sides at the car crash we've become. Don't accept any favours from him.

Well Jack Walker and Bill Fox clearly didn't care about that and it only seems to be older fans who use that nickname. Anyway I never said I was expecting favors from him but if he's there he should be a target.

Only protestation would be for no season ticket renewals and no one attending, anyone who really wants rovers to survive, even the superfans, needs to turn their back on the venkys, not the club, the venkys. no one attending would send the message home

Yes sorry, misread what you had quoted!

You're quite correct, Burnley Bob deserves any stick that may come his way. Surely he knows the state of play but seemingly is quite happy to take the coin whilst the ship sinks to the bottom of the sea.

One question that hasn't been answered is wouldn't Coar be liable as a director? Remember what Hunt said in his letter about losing his house, etc if the club collapsed?

Might depend on what type of director he is listed as

You're a numpty as I said, and a liar, but I'll let you have the final word, you have no credibility on here.

Oh come on !! Giving it the whole credibility stuff. When was the last time you were near Ewood ?

There is a Venky owned chicken processing plant in Preston off Deepdale Road. The smell can be horrendous. 200 Rovers fans blocking gates would be recounted in Pune the same day.

Sadly this didn't get one response aside from me. Still can't find any mention of Venkys though only Gafoor Pure Halal.

Some more information on expansion here with no references to Venkys.

Where does it say that the company is owned by the venkys?

Well I don't know otherwise I would have said. Hopefully OOJW will clarify the comments or somebody gave him wrong information. He lives in Preston perhaps there was a rumor Venkys own it and things tend to snowball from there.

Whilst this would have offered the best opportunity to bring adverse publicity against our owners, it doesn't quite add up to me.

The company in Preston is a Halal Meat business. I am assuming Venky's are Hindus, who are forbidden by their religion to eat halal meat. I don't think they would get involved in a business of this nature.

Problem I see with a boycott is the club going more and more into debit. Making a venky sell of the club harder to achieve. Which is the opposite of what we want.

Would it not be better for fans to turn up to show the club is of value to its supporters - it would also show any 'possible' buyer that the club is worth saving as it has a good fan base etc.

I can understand folk wanting to boycott as they feel they are giving venkys their money and support.

But its the club that receives the money, not venkys.

If the club did go into administration, the less debit it has the better chance it has of coming out of administration.

Ah yes difference between non executive director and executive director. Suppose Cheston is the only left of the latter.

I think that term might be redundant now. PSC or non PSC are the new descriptions from early this year.

if someone was prepared to take this task on, it would almost certainly grab headlines. As many current and old season ticket holders, pay the price of the season tickets (when released) into and Escrow account, earmarked for new owners. It is done on the basis that we are prepared to back the club, with our money, but not prepared to back the owners. The money is held and will be released to new owners, to purchase season tickets from them, once Venky's depart. This way, we starve the owners of money and granted we pay our season ticket fee for no product for now. The Ground is empty on Match day, Venky's are forced to pull the plug, as it is effectively a vote of no confidence. Granted we go into administration have 12 points deducted and are relegated next season. We will go down anyway, with the way things are looking, so we start next season in league one. This scenario is not as bad as the Hereford United situation (Read the thread to understand) but does give us a fighting chance.

It will take one hell of a lot to organise, but will be unique. Fans support the club financially, but not the owners. imagine the headlines!

Vinjay has asked me to post the following:

Could you mention on BRFCS that the Action Group site appears to have been suspended? brfcactiongroup.co.uk/cgi-sys/suspen #rovers

He thinks it's a conspiracy.
