Don't forget the fuses

Yes.

Be good if there are a few interested, if enough people are then will start a new thread and get something cooking. May as well put this good weather to some use.

I think this sort of protest would really force the hands of the owners. Own fans telling other fans not to renew due to their ownership before season tickets have been released would surely hurt them.

A peaceful and polite gathering of fans with some simple banners etc...

Excellent idea. There is something for fans to support now, no 'Who'd want to buy us?' to hide behind.

Just to temper the approach to protests...

The Seneca bid (for the club in its current guise) includes a 49% share by Venkys. Probably best not to completely @#/? them off.

Surely an less obvious choice has to target the first pre season away game.

Take as much support as we can, make some noise and take those banners loud and proud.

Another option, fires home game of the season, pack Ewood out to the rafters (if the proposals are rejected), make the point for 10 minutes then walk out of the ground.

Best approach would be non attendance to home games, no purchasing of merchandise from the official store.

First televised home game the fans should occupy the hill behind the riverside en-mass with every kind of Venky's out banner possible.

How about a Rovers trust kit manufactured by a decent brand, perhaps somebody can convince KFC to even sponsor it?

Would anyone be up for some sort of picket protest? "no Seneca = no renewal"

Yes. I will break the tradition of 4 generations and not get a season ticket if this proposal gets ignored. It needs a mass boycott of season tickets though. However we will probably sell 5-6k which just looks like rubbish support as oppose to mass boycott

Pre season a bit pointless as it won't even get column inches outside the LT although if we continue down the Blackpool route it'll be protests at most games starting pre season probably.

First home game even if loads turned up how many would walk out if it's a good game ? It won't happen in any number.

Sorry but mass boycott is the only way to really hit it home to them we've had enough. Even if it's only one or two selected games although with the amount who look like jacking it in this summer anyway will speak for itself.

Any real protest on matchday needs to be targeted at a live TV game.

It's a job for the action group to get out there and publicise just why the hardcore are now set to stay away after giving these goons chance after chance in the last 6 years.

That's down to the LET, it's unfair to expect individuals to stick their necks out again and become targets.

I'm sure one of Venky's direct competitors in that particular sector from Indian would jump at the thought of free advertising

Isn't it a group ? An action group ? What's the point of it then otherwise or is it now just an awayday supporters group that's close to the club ?

Besides the LT are never ever going to publically back boycotts it'll be the end of their relationship with the club.

I think a few workable ideas are coming out of this:

-Venkys Out Scarf with R.O.V.E.R.S on reverse side

-"The Occupation of the Hill" as a venue for Rovers Home Games or at least the first 15 minutes.

-Venkys in India marketing campaign(or reputation management campaign)

Need some more 'crowdfunding' and leadership now from existing Groups.

Why are you being hard work?

You know the answers and you also know Individuals got threatened and attacked during the last protests.

Why not join and stick your neck on the line representing the group?

Why are you being arsey about it ? It was a genuine question, your talking about individuals, some of whom I'm well aware went way beyond the call of duty last time, I said but isn't it a group ? One for all and all for one type thing, I don't know that's why I asked.

I didn't join last time because I didn't agree with everything they did, coaches to Chorley Fc etc but I understood and applauded the general idea of most of the stuff. Also for your information i'll quite happily stick my neck on the block for a worthwhile cause but i'll never do so to massage ego's of others or aid driving hidden agendas.

Where the line is these days don't know, if you do then why not enlighten instead of getting all precious.

The line?

You've just crossed it calling me 'arsey' and 'precious'

Grow up for gods sake it's not about you or me is it. This is probably a prime example of why there is no action in the action group, too much needless infighting.

If there are any helicopter rides in Pune, why not go over, ask if you can fly over the loonies mansion, and drop a crap load of inflateable chickens onto their mansion

Venkys Out, or I'm Out!

I'll certainly join a peaceful picket of Ewood.

My personal choice is the "Away Day Protests" - Mass Boycott of home games, but sell out all away games and make them an event. Give the team full backing, loads of banners and noise. The contrast will be stark and be picked up by the media. A statement at the start of the season to explain the reasons for the protest would put it in context.

This is a great idea. It's the best way us ' the little guys' can stand up to the bullies. The local media aren't up to asking awkward questions of our Directors/owners so we need to support the team away from Ewood. Then the Nationals will pick up on it.

How about we form some sort of supporters club for it and give it an acronym. Get it out on Twitter and Facebook and get it trending, it will soon gather momentum. The Motto is away support only and the acronym is BRAVES. Blackburn Rovers Anti Venky's Establishment Supporters.
