chor808 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Football League doing a survey on fan experience of supporting their team. There's a couple of sections where you can leave comment on your survey. Nothing will probably come of it but it felt good venting for a while. #VenkysOut https://t.co/hxY44ZtOGd That is worth it's own thread. I just had a great time filling it out. I would post it for all to see, the more we get filling that out the better.
Mike Graham Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 That is worth it's own thread. I just had a great time filling it out. I would post it for all to see, the more we get filling that out the better. It was posted in the news section of the Rovers website a couple of weeks ago, and yes it was fun filling it in.
Neal Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36963875 Hull fans set to protest on the first game of the season. Their statement could easily be describing Venkys, no communication, refusal to talk to interested parties, no investment... Good on them for keeping up the fight against scumbag owners.
Rover_Shaun Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Get behind the lads ffs!! The blinkered Hull morons will shout
Gav Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I really hope the handful of Darwen End fans that chanted "Venkys out" last game of last season are in full voice today. The situation we find ourselves in has deteriorated further, the clubs in a dire predicament, and the few descanting voices need to become one big obnoxious Venkys out campaign. Do us proud lads/lasses #venkys out
LewisF Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 If I end up getting a ST (haven't decided yet) will be bringing venkys out banner most games.
Jock Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 It's got to be Wigan for a big nasty protest. 18 & 75 mins. Those that love Venkys can cheer Coyley for the rest of the disaster that will ensue at the DW. It's now or never folks.

Those that love Venkys can cheer Coyley for the rest of the disaster that will ensue at the DW. It's now or never folks. There's no point. You'll go and do it then be threatened with violence and told to get behind the team. Stay at home.
Jock Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 There's no point. You'll go and do it then be threatened with violence and told to get behind the team. Stay at home.I know your right but threats never bother me. Might just go and do a lone wolf protest.I want to be comfortable in my old age that I stood up and did the right thing for my Rovers.
Mike Graham Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 There's no point. You'll go and do it then be threatened with violence and told to get behind the team. Stay at home. Not many are going. We have only sold 1,200.

Those that love Venkys can cheer Coyley for the rest of the disaster that will ensue at the DW. It's now or never folks. Ideal ground for a vocal protest. I sit in the East Stand for the Rugby League. The rugby away fans also use the North Stand, where the Rovers fans will be, and even when there's only a few hundred of them, they can make a right racket. The acoustics are superb. If we've sold 1200 now, by next week and with those that pay on the day, there should be at least 2000. That will be more than enough to make themselves well and truly heard.
Ben-2000 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Venky's Out was chanted a couple of times in the 2nd half in Darwen End... but it needs to be the whole ground that does it.
47er Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 If I end up getting a ST (haven't decided yet) will be bringing venkys out banner most games. On past experience you will be chucked out.

You'd hope that it might just catch on if results keep going as expected, Coyle has absolutely no chance of turning this around, we're a poor side with hardly any players. Its a case of watch this space I guess. Sad thing is once Coyles sacked it'll be a new dawn and the fans will want to support the new manager, its a cycle that needs breaking, when will enough be enough.

Funny you mention that Gav. Was speaking to my dad tonight who hasn't renewed for the first time since probably about 89 maybe tonight... We were talking about how these mid table middle of nowhere finishes are probably more damaging than anything given how we finish a season, sack a manager which gives false hope and keeps fans from boiling over. It's a never ending nightmare merry-go-round that just needs to stop and for the fans that go it stops with a promotion but the sooner more realistic solution I think is relegation.

You don't find many fans that are more Rovers daft than your dad, but we still see many die hards that can't give it up, and until they decide enough is enough we'll not see much change. It just goes round and round and round.....
LewisF Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 On past experience you will be chucked out.in a way that's a bonus, don't have to witness the horrible football
Neal Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 On past experience you will be chucked out. Tried to confiscate my banner once... They didn't get it.

Iceman Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 On past experience you will be chucked out. That was by order of Steve Kean
Iceman Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Wait, can we do something like this... Dont shoot me down or anything because im an overseas fan. I would have done this if i could. Lets say we can arrange all or many of those who walked away or have boycotted, to meet up and purchase a ticket. Not a season ticket, for one of of the home games. Now we know those who are happy will remain seated. But lets say we can manage to pull in a couple thousand or so boycotters/fans who have walked away into Ewood. After about 10 or so minutes(time can be decided on) and the boycotters get up and walk out. Now this needs to be done for a televised game. Also those who are interested need to split up across Ewood. As you exit, chant Venkys out, rip up your ticket, wave a white flag etc. As i said, dont shoot me down for this suggestion, but even though im far away, im still trying to find ways to get rid of the clowns. We might be labelled bad fans, but so what, its not like we havent been called that for the last 6 years.
1864roverite Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Good idea but I don't think we have any scheduled games in the near future on tv!
Backroom DE. Posted August 8, 2016 Backroom Posted August 8, 2016 Good idea but I don't think we have any scheduled games in the near future on tv! Maybe we can congregate outside Elland road instead?
