A GoFundMe page for the advert in Indian press will go live tonight, prime time after the England game.

One issue is that if we don't raise enough money then the website doesn't offer refunds so the cash will have to go towards other protest material which I'd have to be trusted with?

Thoughts?

Yes speaking to him daily and just a few hours ago, it is all systems go

Henry Winter on The Times (ex-Daily Telegraph) likes Rovers (or he did when we were top of the Prem and the rest of the media were criticising us) - so he'd be worth talking to.

Both should be able to help with contacts in the Indian press, and possibly radio/TV. One contact leads to another.

Cheston only works 9-5 Mon-Fri ;)

He is a Secretary but ain't no Bet Midler

Nero actually organised a relief effort and arranged shelter for the homeless in his own grounds.

And he certainly didn't fiddle. The violin hadn't been invented yet.

I assumed it was a play on words and that he was actually playing with his Banjo

He also retweeted (kind of 'commented on', if you don't do twitter) the Times article in our favour.

Don't agree. It's a representative thing.

Parsonblue represents a similar demographic. If he is prepared to walk on 75 then it will be a big statement.

Let's have as many empty seats as possible. Prior to this week I would have full expected Birdy and Parson to be the exceptions, staunchly in their seats for kick off and staying to clap the players off.

You are right, Gav, we cannot influence everyone but I would hope that Parson and chaddy can influence their own friends and mates, that they too think: enough is enough

I can tell the passions running through you for this one, but it's not about Chaddy or Parson, they're just easy targets on here.

But I agree with the rest of your post.

We seem to be agreeing but yet not.

Parson and chaddy (potentially - as he hasn't said either way yet but usually takes his cue from Parson) are part of a group of fans that a protest movement will struggle to reach. These are the people you will see in the stands at the end of the Wolves match.

If they can be convinced then so can the rest. That was my point.

It was Birdy from the 'hardcore' who came up with with the 1875 idea so maybe doubters can take a lead from him.

Alan 'Birdy' Birkbeck adding of the Wolves plans next month.

'As far as the protest is concerned I had the idea of getting as many people who have been stopping away to come back for the Wolves game. We go in, we stop in the concourse until 18 minutes, come upstairs and leave our seats on 75 minutes. I don`t want to boycott the club but I want them to see what it is like with a lot of people in the stadium and what it`s like with every seat empty. If that is what they want they are going the right way to get it.'

It's literally the best of both worlds and for this game only i'm willingly accommodating dropping my boycott although may have to bring a bottle of dettol with me given just how grimy and dirty the ground has got over the last eighteen months.

Clearly looks like Cheston cut back on maintenance.

As you allude to, protest planning needs to factor in that there will be a few thousand fans just like Parson in attendance. Rightly or wrongly they will attend no matter what and support the lads no matter what.

To those who are targeting parson. How is not attending working out for ya? Have the Venksters left yet?

Don't think anyone is targeting Parson more asking questions to his earlier post.

Either way Pune Rover do you know what Ewood even looks like? To post the above from India is quite disrespectful to us fans who've supported the club for years before your tribe came to town.

I can't grasp how filling the ground would be a protest.

For a start, it's totally unreasonable to think it can be done. We have never filled our ground. Why would we now?

Secondly, it's more money for Venkys. I won't be spending a penny more on these scumbags.

Is there a law written anywhere that BRFC supports have to have visited Ewood ? Or need to have a season ticket? Or need to attend every game? Its kinda becoming fashionable to target people who attend. Which is why I posted that. Do you need to jump in a well to know how it feels? No right. Similarly I have a fair idea what Ewood feels like.

Agreed. Empty seats can be misrepresented they say. So wtf will their PR do with a 25k and above crowd?

Not at all, i'd be intrigued as to what made you and when you became a fan though? As to date you continually look to wind people up on here. I'm still working out your agenda.

I'd have thought being based in Pune itself that you'd have been far more constructive to the protest thread especially in view of any contacts or media outlets in which several threads on the MB are targeting etc.

I won't judge your post where it looks like your having a conversation with yourself.
