If PL was/is an honourable person, then he should really say it how it is. As fans of the club, we need to know what the real deal is....is it simply because of his lack of success, and his need to jump ship, or the more sinister option of the Loons preparing for meltdown?

I will wait & see, but suspect with the departures already and lack of communication from them that they are thinking the latter.

No ST's, no manager, no board, fans talking of leaving maybe for good - very dark days indeed......they should be damned and shamed in equal measures

The Loons = unmitigated disaster. Please go.

This can surely come as no great surprise, the mere fact that Lambert had a release clause in shows he was not fully committed to us and that as I suspected at the time he viewed us as a short term stepping stone to try and restore his reputation. Shame for him it's not panned out like that.

As it is I view Lambert's tenure as an absolute disaster. Sold our star striker on the last day of the transfer window, replaced him with no-one and we won't have a single striker at the Club come July 2nd. He's also filled the team with loan signings when a large proportion of the squad are out of contract in summer and quality permanent signings were needed to build going forward.

So basically, comes in, does a crap job, sells our major asset, doesn't replace him, leaves us with hardly any players going forward, and his successor with a nigh on impossible task, then walks out.

Cheers Paul. What a knob.

Least you stick to your guns REV which I admire you for

I see it the other way round though an fell it was more him covering his back on false promises and what had happened previously

I didn't want Lambert in but was prepared to see what he could do ( which I think he could) and at least he was a manager of sorts rather than not.

I don't think any of that is his own fault. Blackburn have been desperate to sell Rhodes for ages - they stated that they have been looking to move him on in the last 3 transfer windows. He has had no communication with the owners, probably couldn't plan for next season and probably just thought... 'whats the point?'

So that tells me, the next manager who comes in next season will have nothing to work with.

To be honest i dont blame Paul L. He obviously hasnt been given what he was promised. I'd walk away if I was him (and it was not Rovers).

We are now at the following juncture I think.

Option 1) Venkys stay, appoint Dunn or someone else farcical, we get relegated and career down the leagues until either option 2) happens or the club gets wound up

Option 2) Venkys take the loss on the nose and leave, we appoint someone sloghtly less farcical, we play a bunch of kids and reserves get relegated and then stabalise in League 1 and look to come up again.

There is of course the third option - that they bring in another experienced manager and give him funds.

I wouldn't bet on any of the options - they have surprised the fans numerous times - mostly in a bad way - but also surprised us by continuing to fund the club, keeping Rhodes as long as they did and getting Lambert in. Who knows which way they will go - but they will have to do something drastic if they are to stop the downward spiral we have been on since they took over.

Bad owners are bad owners.

Sent a tweet to Howard Walker and Richard Matthewman that I hope you're happy @#/?s.

Good idea. Let's abuse Matthewman, an investor in Seneca and probably our only hope.

If you listen to the Lancs interview above, Lambert pretty much confirms what Lancaster Rover has said.

Bad times, really bad. The cupboard is empty; time to batten down the hatches and hold on tight I think.

Where's that come from? Or do you just mean because Lambert has walked its obvious?

Lambert says as much in the Radio Lancs interview. He states that a meeting with Pasha is the reason he has made the decision to go now, couple that with the comments about 'being happy bobbing around mid table' it it virtually spells it out, don't you think?

You could well be correct, Rev, but you don't know the full facts. I don't either but I would think he was promised funds for rebuilding in the summer and then Venky's have reneged on this. Now is the time to start planning for next season and he will have wanted assurances about the timing and amount of money available only to have been met by a wall of silence.

One thing I will say is that you have been against him from day one.

This is the polar opposite of my understanding. Rhodes wanted out but Venkys wouldn't sell. It seems to be fairly well accepted that Bowyer wanted to sell him. How does your theory fit in with the Hull situation?

Edit - 'they' is a strange way for a Rovers fan to refer to the club (not to mention using 'Blackburn' rather than 'Rovers')?

Can we start a "get Dyche in" movement haha.

If I didn't laugh id cry. Lamberts is just as spineless in my view. If you are leaving without pay, then go now not in two games. If you don't want us, we don't need you.

How do they expect to save grace and get any money back? Surely the only way forward is to spend money and get promoted (for them), otherwise cut back, still make losses every season and lose the club eventually. They are so so stupid ! It makes my blood boil. Bringing in a decent manager, you then have to back him. Not what any of the fans needed.

Absolutely it does, wasn't having a go or anything, just a genuine question

The Radio Lancs interview confirms pretty much all of our fears. Was promised money, Venky's reneged on this and appear to be lowering the lifeboats. I just cant fathom Venky's end game, they are in hock to the bank for millions and millions, the club has virtually no saleable assets and will continue to bleed money. The only conceivable way for Venky's to have any hope of recouping some of the money they have wasted is to invest in promotion. What they are doing defies logic, even by their standards.
