Amo Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I'm sure you're not talking about nobed but if you are that would be AMAZING. No, seriously, amazing. It would be the biggest FU in the history of footieball. I would actually applaud the V's for such an incredible move. I'd go the the games, well I wouldn't, I go to Ewood to see those who are paying money to go in and watch. Not gonna lie, I kinda want this to happen.

perthblue02 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Just looked at odds on skybet , I presume the 12/1 David Lowe is the Head Youth coach currently at Rovers? When did he first appear in the odds? Think JAL's head may explode if that happens Paul Jewell 2/1 David Dunn 3/1 Tim Sherwood 6/1 Alan Irvine 12/1 David Lowe 12/1 Simon Grayson 14/1 Gary Bowyer 14/1 Gus Poyet 16/1 Mick McCarthy 16/1 Neil Redfearn 16/1 Nigel Clough 18/1 Neil Warnock 18/1 Martin O'Neil 18/1 Kenny Jackett 20/1 Neil McDonald 20/1 Chris Wilder 20/1 Paul Clement 25/1 Brendan Rodgers 25/1 David Moyes 25/1 Steve McClaren 25/1 Nigel Pearson 25/1 Garry Monk 25/1 Kenny Dalglish 33/1 Alan Shearer 33/1 Tim Flowers 33/1 Chris Sutton 33/1 Steve Kean 33/1

frosty Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Why's Paul Jewell so high on the list all of a sudden? :/ And as if you can get odds on King Kenny haha.
Gav Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Paul 'sex tape' Jewell - sounds a good fit for Venkys. Lordy Lordy.....
martonrover Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Paul Jewell?!! That really clarifies where we're at!!!
Norbert Rassragr Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Might as well interview Chris Kamara, Nigel Spackman and Howard Wilkinson too. The club is f--cked.
MCMC1875 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Why's Paul Jewell so high on the list all of a sudden? :/ And as if you can get odds on King Kenny haha. He's found out there's a lap dancing bar at Ewood!

The chances of any of them coming here are lower than me being the next manager. Those odds are bog standard long odds that get thrown around every time a Championship vacancy comes up. Anything greater than 10/1 and its unlikely and probably based on guesswork. Christ knows what has happened today to see Jewell suddenly become favourite. Someone somewhere must have lumped a fair bit on him. Not for me. He's yesterday's man and has failed miserably in his last 2 jobs at Ipswich and Derby. Irvine is at long odds at 12/1. I think its worth lumping £5-10 on that this weekend. He's already on the payroll and will be in pole position for the job and I can't see why he wouldnt want it if he got offered it.
VinjayV4 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Nixon just said he spoke to Jewell about this last night...said no.
Backroom DE. Posted April 29, 2016 Backroom Posted April 29, 2016 Nixon just said he spoke to Jewell about this last night...said no. Jewell would be a worse appointment than Dunn, but it shows where we're at when even clowns like him are ruling themselves out at the earliest opportunity.
VinjayV4 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Nixon wouldn't go into Jewell's reasons and didn't think he was being mislead. About time we had a poll isn't it? Not just with who the mods want either but anyone mentioned prominently on this thread.

USABlue Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 jees some really underwhelming choices on that list At the risk of repeating myself who cares good manager, bad manager it's a level playing field without support from the top

Seriously .. Out of that lot who would be mad or desperate enough to take the job that we would be happy with ???? I'm struggling
Stuart Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 . Seriously .. Out of that lot who would be mad or desperate enough to take the job that we would be happy with ???? I'm strugglingForget happy. How many of those would be prepared to work on a shoe string?Jewell (already - apparently - ruled out) Dunn McCarthy (but only if he was already out of work) Clough (Burton probably had more money than us) Chris Wilder (but he won't be interested at the moment) Those who would work under Venkys? Dunn The problem is that whoever comes in will want to bring in their own players but there is no money. Except Dunn. All 'his' players are already here. So it's Dunn's job to lose.
patrickvalery Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 How long do I have to wait for Patrick bleeding Valery to be considered for the post? Granted he's possibly behind Vratislav Gresko and Sebastian Perez, but surely we can't keep ignoring the elephant in the room for much longer.
koi Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I've got a dim and distant memory that Jewell was particularly spiteful towards us.
4000Holes Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Can see the situation now. 6 different managers at the end of next season but this time it results in relegation. Terrible situation. However on the bright side, if Venkeys are a successful company in India, it must be so easy to make money there, that anyone in this country looking for a business venture should look at India as it must be impossible to fail.
VinjayV4 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Wasting my time no doubt but can we have a serious poll for once?
Stuart Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Wasting my time no doubt but can we have a serious poll for once? Wait. That wasn't you who voted for Jason?
chaddyrovers Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Heard a certain Scot has registered his interest - daren't say his name (Nicko speaks highly of) ! Dougie Freedman
