Confirmation of Alan Myers' official removal as a Director was filed at Companies House today.

Interestingly Derek Shaw is still listed as a current Director.....................either something strange is going on or the 'Administration/Organisation' at the club once again proves to be lower league!

Anyone know the consequence of listing a person as a director who is not involved in the running of the business? Because on the face of it, you would have to read from this that Shaw is still an active director at the club.

Directors have different status's from 6th April this year and can be listed as PSC (person with significant control) or not

So that means that somebody could be listed as a director at a company they don't work for, or have a business interest in, to tick a box for that company?

That has always been the case but now it has to be registered one way or another.

Best thing to do is follow the money i.e. directors with shares

I imagine Myers is probably clued up enough to get himself removed from the list. for obvious reasons.

There is one consequence, they are still legally responsible at a director level for the actions of the board even if not involved... ignorance is not a defence when you agree to be a director of a company.

Derek's got form for pleading ignorance on oath though. Does he have some business interest in the club now or as often thought protecting someone else's stake still ?

Derek's 'Resignation' was finally filed at Companies House Yesterday. People do say that this Board is monitored............maybe I should ask for a small token of appreciation for the reminder.
