Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 In all likelihood, Holloway is the best we can hope for. I can't stand the bloke, but if it's between him, Paul Jewell, Alan Irvine and David Dunn... I agree. The other three are pretty un inspiring.
Bucksrover Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Don't think it will be holloway - remember reading a while back he needs to live near london for family reasons.
PeteJD13 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Terribly underwhelming feeling it's Jewell then again the font of accuracy that is Nixon, is adamant it isn't and Jewell is briefing that he knows nowt about it
booth Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I would have been very happy with Holloway after Kean as he seemed to be on the crest of a wave, but since then he seems to have devolved and become less ballsy. Perhaps it's a confidence thing but at the moment he wouldn't be my first choice my any means. As others have said he'd actually not be a bad appointment under the circumstances and he's worked for crackpot owners in the past. And press conferences would be interested, and the guy is at least as honest as they come. In comparison to Jewell he's Mother Theresa. Don't think it will be holloway - remember reading a while back he needs to live near london for family reasons. I thought he lived on the Fylde Coast.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Which betting lot is giving odds on "whoever it is it will be sh*te"?

Mother Theresa, that would be a good call divine intervention
Backroom DE. Posted May 7, 2016 Backroom Posted May 7, 2016 Paul Jewell hasn't been in a job since October 2012, so the last time he was working in football was just before we hired Henning Berg as our manager.
Stuart Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 What are the odds on Monday coming and going with no announcement, and we've had 48 hours of lather for nothing?
rishtonrover Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 missing football already, when can i renew my season ticket, how much are they, whos the new manager, who are we signing, who do we play pre season, where are we having the burnley relegation party?
koi Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I've been told that Holloway plays golfing on Shaw Hill in Chorley, I presumed he was local.
bluefred Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Paul Jewell hasn't been in a job since October 2012, so the last time he was working in football was just before we hired Henning Berg as our manager.just as a matter of interest ,when we appointed berg as manager , the dingles had just appointed Sean dyche asmanager,in this time they have had two promotions to the premier league.Just shows how important this decision is.
Dreams of 1995 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 If the appointment is Paul Jewell we will once again put ourselves as the butt of everyone's jokes.
chaddyrovers Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 A guy on twitter has suggested Alan Stubbs. Could see this being Nixon name in paper. Also Stubbs knows Irvine from his Everton days
martonrover Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 A guy on twitter has suggested Alan Stubbs. Could see this being Nixon name in paper. Also Stubbs knows Irvine from his Everton days If it's Alan Stubbs then Randy is wrong. Hibs' season is ongoing via the Play Offs, so wouldn't be announced on Monday.
islander200 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 A guy on twitter has suggested Alan Stubbs. Could see this being Nixon name in paper. Also Stubbs knows Irvine from his Everton days have you stuck a fiver on him?
unsall Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Don't think it will be holloway - remember reading a while back he needs to live near london for family reasons.. Last time I heard he lived in Rossendale valley.
