DavidMailsTightPerm Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Duffy. His good to bad games ratio is 50/50. Huge c.ock ups in half of them, I'd be happy if he's sold for any kind of fee. I thought he had a good season last - and his good to bad ratio was more like 75/25. In which case - as long as the scout only attended the 75% we could be in for a big fee The biggest shame that he couldn't convert all his numerous chances into goals last season - he could have been top scorer in the Championship with all the chances he missed

AllRoverAsia Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Not that I would ever wish an injury on Shane but now that he is injured noone would be happier than me to see his abscence lead to Brighton imploding and miss out on any form of promotion. Id rather those turds from Leeds go up. The Duffy influence is still at Rovers in the 3 points he cost us away to Cardiff and in our GD. The twxx has been and still is a major factor in our battle against relegation.

If there is a promotion bonus in it for us, I want them 100% to go up. I would bet even if they don't go up, he will be playing in the Premiership next season. So I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

tomphil Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Don't wish injury on any player but a bit of karma here for this plant pot if he has to miss a chunk of Brightons promotion charge after his attitude before he left here. Kean him !
Doaksie Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Now Shane has a bit of free time on his hands, hopefully he'll keep his phone safely in his pocket next Friday, away from any "little paddys"
Backroom Tom Posted March 21, 2017 Backroom Posted March 21, 2017 He may have made himself quite unpopular with some Brighton fans with this tweet: More tragic news this morning, RIP Martin Mc Guinness a true hero for many off us god bless your family and close ones #ireland
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 21, 2017 Moderation Lead Posted March 21, 2017 Like his 'up the RA' tweet he sent while at Everton, he'll probably say he tweeted it from his pocket....
1arC Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 It can only be a good thing that he won't be playing for Brighton when we them in our next game. Hopefully we can get something from that game. We are expected to lose that and also to lose the following game against Reading. Anything from either of these games, will be a big bonus.

He would have scored from a corner for sure, not sure which net mind!

Huge difference between saying "up the Ra" and offering his condolences to Martin McGuinness friends and his family after his death. Duffy is from Derry ,like McGuinness. People there did not go looking for violence. It came to them. McGuinness dedicated his life working for peace up North.

My God imagine if he scored another winner against us. That would be 4 against us this season!

Either way it's incredibly tone deaf to tweet about him being his hero whilst he is playing his trade in Brighton of all places.

Whilst I agree with the point you are making in your post, the above statement regarding McGuinness is not the whole truth given his earlier involvement in the IRA.

I'm not talking about the content of his tweet (I'm not touching the subject of Irish politics with a bargepole), more that he denied tweeting it and wouldn't take responsibility for his own Twitter account. (The original Joleon Lescott).

He has scored 4 against us already. One V Wigan away and in the following game, two V Cardiff away. Add to that the one at Ewood for Brighton (the ony one in the right end) and we are currently at four. It will be very painful if we go down by one point or on goad difference, as you could argue that a couple of these were deliberate. Of course like any subject of debate,, other people may thing the tree own goals in less than 90 minutes of football, were actually accidental.

"Shane Duffy doesn't want to go home" was definitely a brag. Whether she really thought he was single is another matter but it seems despite her attempt to "save his bacon" she had no trouble going to the papers. They deserve each other. Meanwhile his poor kids...
AllRoverAsia Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I wonder how much see got? Cash I mean for selling the story. Could not have happened to a nicer man. Quote:"I'm Shane Duffy" LOL
