The new manager will have less time than previously to assemble his squad. The emergency transfer windows have been scrapped. Rovers first team currently has 15 players including two keepers and one inexperienced youngster - Connor Mahoney.

"FIFA forced the FA to scrap the emergency loan window that operates between September and November, and February and March."

Raya will be starting up front at this rate.

And we're still waiting for the new manager to be installed

How....??? Boycott.....it won't work be because not all fans are interested .....lots of people on this forum spouting off we need to stand up to venkys ....but no one has given a proper answer yet......HOW?

If you are looking for action that all fans would support, you won't do anything worthwhile----lowest common denominator and all that.

What's hard about a boycott? You just don't go! Save and do something enjoyable. Easy.

Best of all it doesn't need any organisation and it hurts Venkys in the only way fans can.

Mike Cheston says "Relax, time is on our side".

The longer it takes to appoint a manager, the more likely relegation becomes.

I'm glad they've done that. I thought it was a ridiculous rule that allowed those clubs struggling or going well to strengthen themselves outside the windows whilst those who had expected promotion and missed out could loan out some big earners for a few months to save on the wages.

Its heartbreaking to think back 2 years ago to the summer of 2014.

We'd just finished the season with a long unbeaten run that had seen us go very close to the play-offs. Optimism was high going into the new season that the work of Bowyer would continue to rid the club of Kean's henchmen and continue to bring in quality players.

We had a squad that was the envy of many in the League. Jordan Rhodes, Rudy Gestede, Josh King, Tom Cairney, Ben Marshall, Craig Conway, Grant Hanley. Surely a top 6 capable squad. Venkys had shut up and kept away whilst paying off the dross recruited previously. Shebby Singh and Paul Agnew had gone. We were starting to look like a normal football club and there was at last unity among the fanbase with most happy with how things were going and looking forward to a promotion push in 14/15.

2 years on and its all gone. No manager, no board, no squad. 2-3 decent players who are likely to push to leave the longer this goes on. Completely heartbreaking that such an exciting young and talented squad has been allowed to be demolished.

I'm not ashamed to say it but I now long for days like the summer of 2014. Optimism, confidence, a manager I could trust and relate to, some semblance of a structure and plan at the club, a good honest group of predominantly British lads representing the club with pride unlike what had gone before under Kean, Berg and Appleton. All gone now.

Bang on JH.

Going down to Ewood in August '14 for the opening Friday night game you could feel a real buzz around the place. Bits of artwork had been put up around the ground, the fanzone had been opened- gimmicks, of course, but a nice touch, plus we had a squad of decent players for this league.

I remember a real roar as the players came out, then we put in a largely average performance and the season petered out to nothing.

For all the decent players we had, we just did not have a manager capable of getting us promoted or getting the best out of players like King. Or how to ensure that a 40 goal strike partnership equalled top 6.

In a period in which we could still pay good wages and fees we threw away our chance of promotion on a succession of average to poor, inexperienced managers. Despite the debacle of the 2011-2013 period, we still had a a chance to salvage the club, but as always we were sabotaged by our own owners.

so almost 1st June, and still no manager... its almost time for Back to the Future 4, and still no management at boardroom level in place

Day 27. 4 week milestone tomorrow since the Lambert announcement. 7 weeks tomorrow since Lambert told the club privately he was going. No rush. Its not like the other 23 clubs will be doing anything at this point anyway, all the other managers will be spending a month on holiday not worrying about next season or pre-season. Anyway, we've got a competent board who can keep things ticking over until the manager arrives.

Lambert knew they would mess his replacement up. Remember his interview where he said he would expect the club to have made progress by now with finding his replacement? He knew full well they would wreck next season by messing about like this.

As much as im trying to forget what is happening, the more i cant forget. Its making me tired, but soon im going to not even bother to check if anything has changed, because nothing will change

Can a (once) proud, managerless, chairless, boardless club with 15 pros get any lower than we are now?

Got to be honest I do enjoy upto a point some of the "disagreements" between members on this internet site but Venkys have done so much damage to fans its hard to see a way back.

It is hard to see how Loons of Pune can have any real comprehension of the situation their ineptitude and wanton vandalism of our club has created.

They are not benevolent bufoons bumbling their way along with a vague notion of success. They are a malignant cancer that is rapidly draining the life from an institution that deserves better than a slow death at the hands of a remote and clearly disengaged corporate owner.

Venkys - you are a disgrace. Take your dirty chicken money, take your pathetic lies, take your ill-advised notions and STICK TO SWANNING AROUND YOUR OWN VILE BACK YARD in the arse end of beyond, where you belong.

Venkys OUT! NOW!!

I wonder now Moyes hasn't got the Celtic gig or villa I wonder if he'll fancy working with Joyce as he'll know him.

What do you reckon Mani ?

....

Not a clue mate. He is / was interested and still hasn't got a job. But based on the information we've had and the approach for Joyce I doubt very much that they even want Moyes.

Divide and conquer !

Break the club into bits and then mould into what you want, only a few remain in situ and in the stands because they want to and they won't question anything you do just meekly follow. Then you and whoever can play around doing what you want with the club and players with the minimum amount of fuss or scrutiny.

It's all part of a process for this agents 'vehicle' I'm sure.

Warren Joyce must be the most illogical choice of any of the mentioned names

How can anyone expect someone with very little experience of managing come in with 14 pros on the books to turn the playing side around under the structure at Ewood .. It's beginning to look like championship survival may not be on the agenda with these charlatans

He works for Man Utd you know, must be a good un.

They've just seen Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard make the breakthrough to the first team, must all be down to Joyce.

We need at least 13 new players, assuming nobody else leaves and that we don't give contracts to any of the rubbish that we've waited 3 years to get rid of.

How on earth will a new manager be able to recruit 13+ players between his eventual appointment and the start of pre-season on Venky time? It won't happen. We'll be starting the season with a threadbare squad, the new arrivals will be last minute desperados who can't find other clubs, Hanley, Duffy, Marshall and Evans likely to be picked off by other clubs.

Even worse we have to give new contracts to Brown, Jackson, Williamson as we have 'no alternative'.

League One is a formality.

Totally agree on everything but cos he's at man u doesn't mean he's good especially with the set up they've got there'll be others.. His managerial career is a brief spell at Hull in League two which as I stated he's probably the least experienced of any mentioned and seriously has got to make us believe that championship survival isn't even on Venkys agenda

Glenn M posted on another thread that Kean even had a league one part written in his contract

I despair with everything BRFC at the moment
