Can anyone remember how long ago it was that Lamborghini handed in his notice to escape the madness. It must be weeks ago and we still do not have a manager .

This is a scandal.

Whe are the ST's on sale; do they follow the appointment of a new manager?

My driver earlier this evening in Glasgow reckons that Neil Lennon was definitely interviewed for the Rovers job and awaits an answer. He is a manager of a non league (junior as is called in Scotland) football team who had a good run in the Scottish FA Cup this season and is well connected in Scotland. I realise this means jack sh1t but I don't think anyone has mentioned Lennon's name as being one of the four so far?

Same guy who told me that Lambert was definitely NOT getting the Celtic job fully 6 weeks before Rodgers was announced, and when the whole world assumed that was why he was leaving us.

Everything pointing to Joyce to takeover the reigns..... not my first choice but all fans need to get behind him from the first game.... will be interesting if he does get the gig who he will bring into our broken squad of 14 Players.

For anyone! I'd think WJ would have quite a wide range of choice on his "first" managerial role (excluding Hull and Antwerp?) with his reputation thus unlikely to take a job somewhere without certain promises?

Those with less to lose and a lot more to gain in the poll may be less inclined!

How can you exclude his previous management posts?

He wasn't a successful manager but has found his niche as a youth coach, (albeit with a very big club which has the pick of the youngsters).

You say he has a wide range of choice. Really? It certainly doesn't look that way.

I still think it's barking mad, but I guess that's to be expected.

Some sort of reputation as a youth coach.

The difference, especially coming into our circus, is huge.

I agree but are we honestly going to be able to appoint anyone better? I know it's hard for some to accept the level of the candidates who have been linked but this is unfortunately where we are at at this moment in time.

Well we got Lambert a few months ago so why should it be any different now?

Aim high.

It's just more dumbing down and it's not pulling the wool over my eyes.

Operation downsize.

So they want to follow the way Southampton did it by bloody youngsters and signing experience players?

That's the brief pal.

Southampton were a well run club with proper structure including a good CEO

Unlike the mess at Ewood

Giggs taking over his role?

Or his wife.. Lol

I reckon that's what is being mooted mate. WJ's post is essentially b team manager...ie everything other than first team. Massive responsibility. Huge pressure. Perfect post for Giggs to learn in properly...as Enrique and Zidane etc did.

Bit of a expert on all things Man United and European at the moment are we fella

How did Moyes go on at Sociedad.. Dined out on beating Barcelona and blew one of there biggest transfer budgets oh and got sacked

Even if Guardiola got the Rovers gig he'd struggle with the structure or non structure

Warren Joyce = relegation. Would be a terrible appointment. We shouldn't be a club whose main ambition is to develop young players, we should be a club whose main aim is to get back to the premier league.

"Massive responsibility. Huge pressure", don't make me laugh.

I'm resigned to the fact he's getting it and wish him well.

Pressure 😁 Man United have the cream of the crop pick of youngsters.

Yea I'll wish him well as he'll need all the luck he can get

I agree with you we should be challenging for promotion next season.

We are 4/5 weeks away from pre season and we dont have a manager. It is unacceptable that the owners havent made a decision yet. Had over 7 weeks to decide.

The sad thing is, Joyce is actually the best candidate (aside from Warnock) to be linked with the job. Shows the poor calibre of candidates linked.

Owners don't care about promotion now, that would just be a bonus for them. All about producing young talent and selling on for a profit. It's a flawed business strategy as you only make money if you're in the prem, not by selling on youngsters.

We should be challenging for promotion every season, we're Blackburn Rovers FC. sad state of affairs when a team who was finishing in Europe 10 or so years ago and winning the Premiership 21 years ago is now looking survive in the CHAMPIONSHIP.

venkys look at what you've reduced us to!!!!!
