Last week the let said that Redfearn had been interviewed?I recall wheelock emphatically saying that Redfearn had been interviewed on his Twitter account. They don't have a clue

Could have sworn the same. They're going around in circles, just like Nixon and everyone else.

Sick to the back teeth of this managerial 'search'. Just a appoint a dud as we all know you will, so that we can be done with this whole fiasco.

Slade was interviewed along with Warnock and Joyce

But Stubbs, Neil Redfearn, Craig Hignett, Gareth Ainsworth, Keith Hill, Billy Davies, did not make the interview stage.

To me, that sounds like a a quick chat over the phone, from either their club or their agents, with them all ending the call with "Thanks, but no thanks"

Either way the agents get their cut especially if they 'dump' their clients here on a good wage which they'll no doubt get a % from. That's the whole point about it being an agents vehicle. Not even sure on the old sell for profit line either as they had a man to do that in Bowyer but even that was kyboshed.

You can't make transfer profit on many players in reality but you can make % especially going down the quantity not quality line.

It's not a dig at Bowyer I'm highlighting agents running the show and making their percentages. Gaz was a yes man so he'd just toe the party line and yes he was desperate for players. He might have had the say on the player but you can bet he could only pick from a certain list handed to him by an agent or the club.

Nope. Not true mate. Genuinely.

Stubbs is now a managerial target

http://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/14522415.Russell_Slade_interviewed_for_Blackburn_Rovers_job_____but_he_is_also_wanted_by_Charlton_Athletic/?ref=mac

So who is the 4th name? Is it Alex McLeish? Nigel Adkins? Ian Cathro?

I nearly threw up when I read Mcleish.

Who the f is Cathro?

Wheelock sounds like he's struggling for new material at this stage.

I'm still wondering who'll be conducting the interviews, with Ches sunning himself.

@Thiny_Tim Alex McLeish has been made 7/4 favourite to be the next Blackburn manager.

A kid on Twitter is saying its a certainty .. I know Twitter is what it is however if this is true then it's massively underwhelming

I don't think we should rush into this manager malarkey. We need to really take our time and get it right. In fact.....

You can't hurry, love, you just gotta wait, it's a game of give and take......I'll get me coat.

Actually, Diana Ross is a better candidate to all those on our shortlist, bar Warnock.

Bigger alcoholic than Kean though!

If your on about the Bowyer bit then fair enough but if you mean the agents in general bit and their involvement from day 1 of the V's then I know different.

Genuinely. B)

With Stubbs name popping up again and long wait then I think it's pointing in his direction again. Is his contract up at the end of June or something ? He's probably the one recommended by the Evertonians here and an agents probably brought the Joyce thing to the table so I'd wager its between those two.

Although no guarantees that after our royalty like owners have finally given the thumbs up that both would say no !

Irve the swerve it is then !

Steady on here! No more Diana Ross lyrics. You know what it's like on this message board. I wouldn't want you to find yourself in the middle of some sort of chain reaction.

I urge you to Stop! ( in the name of love!)

McLeish is just another failed jobbing no-hoper like Redfearn and the rest. There's nothing to suggest he would do better than any of the other useless twerps we've had over the past 6 years.

Don Mackay, King Kenny, Souness..... even Lambert would have done ok with some backing. It's only the worlds number one rat that let the jocks down at Ewood in recent times :tu:

It was probably his association with them cockney spivs that led him to being a c5nt. Might have been a nice lad back in Glasgow in his younger days...........then again !

I'm not a massive fan of McLeish but at the mere mention of Joyce's name, the vast majority of people on this MB are screaming "No, we need experience", yet are turning their noses up at someone like McLeish who, if nothing else, is an experienced manager and might have enough about him to keep us in the championship just now.

Mourinho's taken guys.

He wasn't......my brother in law knew him at Celtic.

McLeish would be a step up on most of the names linked. He wouldn't get the pulses rating but he is an experienced manager who knows this level and has been promoted from it with Birmingham. He's also a well connected man who ought to be able to recruit quickly.

He's what I would call a 'safe' option. Clearly he won't guarantee results or success but he's got a better chance than many of the gambles and nonentities on the list.

It's coming to something when I'd actually prefer McLeish to some of the jokers on the list.

At least he has a bit of form in the Championship and is presumably reasonably well connected.

I'm not saying I want him, more that I absolutely don't want some of the others.
