Hope so now. I got a small bet on him at 20/1 a couple weeks ago

Got him at 33-1 to be permanent manager first game next season, I reckon those odds would have appealed to the Asian spread betting market as well

Having said that they'll probably install him as caretaker till further notice or something in a vain effort to soften the blow !

Betting has been pulled? Please lord tell me this doesn't mean Owen Coyle is our new manager!?

Mani, It's still up as far as I can see, I can still put a bet on at Skybet on Coyle!!!!

Ahhh ok. I can't see any on Oddschecker or BV? For the record, I am joining the boycott if Coyle gets it. Disgrace of a man / manager.

Ever thought your being played to actually have to make that kind of comment ?

Sort of my point but seriously: dunn or Coyle?

Berg or Coyle?

Appleton or Coyle?

Bowyer or Coyle?

Unknkown youth coach with right agent or Coyle?

Lambert was the odd One out...(and didn't exactly set the world alight looking att it from afar)

If Coyle is appointed that should be enough proof for everybody to really see that lot are taking the @#/?. And I would seriously consider ending an allegiance that has gone on for over fifty years.

Well Bob. We both missed it "Ex-Bumley failure".

Our dingle 'friends' would be cocking their sides if we got him. Operation @#/? On The Rovers in the final stages.

Who says you can't polish a turd?

OMG .... FFS... Owen Coyle bloody hell .... we really are dragging them out of the bloody Lunatics asylum ... so so disappointed that I think I will join ABBEY in protest.... this has to be a bloody joke.

If that absolute short wearing prick gets the job then to be quite negative and frank, I'd expect us to drop faster than anyone could expect.

Burnley Coyle would be another new depth we've sank to. Just give Irvine the sodding job and get it over with.

I cant stand his ugly fking head .....massive head....tiny short wearing legs...

Odds for relegation still 5/1. May get some money on before someone like coyle or worse is appointed and odds plummet. No md, no chairman, no ceo, no manager or prospect of a competent one, no players, no bloody groundsman. Just crackpot absentee owners how we are not odds on favourite for relegation is a mystery.

Is there any indication that an appointment is close? Last week I had the feeling that it could be any second, now it just seem to have gone quiet

I thought of putting Colye in that list but really wanted to try and retain some sort of sense of realism.

None whatsoever. Let's not forget wasn't it Warnock who was 1/10 on a week or so ago?

And hignett and Joyce, both already been odds on at somepoint.

I suppose that shows how impossible to predict these idiots are but fools attract fools. Owen coyle is certainly a fool

The head is unusual. I'll give you that. Always thought it looked like the back of it had been removed. Like he'd had a quick nap on an industrial belt sander.

Wonder if Coyle gets appointed will he get to choose his own assistant manager or will a spiv be selecting, John Jensen back or perhaps that chap in Brunei who is failing in the S league?

It's probably still waiting for Joyce to speak to Mourinho.

If Jose decides to keep him on then we'll probably start searching all over again and waste another month.

One of the biggest complaints in recent times is not just that managers haven't been given funds to bring in their own team - except for Bowyer, who got everyone's share - it's the lack of a (vital) pre-season. Yet we are going down the same road again.

Venkys decision making is as swinging as it is slow and stupid; as lurching as it is lackadaisical and lunatic; as inexplicable as it is incapable and imbecilic. If a particular manager doesn't work out then, instead of just changing manager and sticking to a plan, they change their whole approach.

From back, sack, or in the case of Lambert, crack! :)

So ignore all these wobblys being thrown in; who is the money on (and I don't mean SkyBet)?

I'm going to go with Joyce

my pick as well
