I will miss the "buzz" of going to Ewood Park. Venky's hadn't managed to take that away from me. However my boycott or protest is on moral grounds, when we sign a player like Stokes with the viewpoints/beliefs he has then we really are morally bankrupt and I want no part of it. It will be hard. I wavered big time at the extended claim your own seat deadline but now that we have gone past that I am determined not to step foot into Ewood.

It is not an easy decision for me as I love Rovers and going to Ewood even last year even when things were grim remained something that I looked forward too.

I must admit Kamy, I found it strange that Stokes was the "straw that broke the camels back" for you, after everything that's gone on. How can a player of a certain belief take the "buzz" away...?

You are more than welcome to that view, and I can understand why you'd have a problem with Stokes views, but isn't he here to play football? I'm well aware that people have different principles, but as long as he's not vocally supporting the IRA whilst under contract- I don't personally see a big deal.

The club should sign players based on level and aptitude, what church they go to or who they vote for shouldn't come into it.

The legitimacy of his views (being Irish) is not something I can comment on, but I'm sure we've had many conservative players before, or ultra left etc. It's similar to the James McClean thing - I can't imagine what it was like growing up in a "western war zone" but I can imagine it might change your views somewhat. McLean is disliked because of the way he publicises this unnecessarily (ie he's a gob @#/?) but I've not seen the same from stokes, bar a few appearances at funerals, celebrations, ceremonies etc that he really shouldn't have been at!

Here we go again. You know what speaks volumes? Your ability to post anything on this website without reprieve.

Biggest wind up merchant on the board, yet nobody will deal with you because of a vocal minority who kick up a fuss on your behalf.

Buzz, what buzz? I used to have it but it has gone sadly thanks to the V b'astards, over paid cheating footballers, and those slime ball agents.

I would rather watch slug racing than go to Ewood under Venky ownership.

Especially when it only appears to be after one (underwhelming?)season and a bit of upheaval with the manager /some players

Who knows, there could be more to it than that. Massive club to only sell that is unreal. I think Candreva leaving is the final straw for some. They see the others being bought out and spending significantly and they're selling, cant imagine theyre happy.

Exactly Neal - who thinks what they would do in our situation?

Well, I feel sorry for those who now complain they were duped into buying a ST before Block Head left for Newcastle.

My phone was burning with angry text's today from Rovers fans

Why feel sorry for people who did not want to hear that they should wait to see the outs before renewing. They were only duped because they wanted to be duped

I agree. This Club (I used to call it MY club) is a joke 😞

When does the playing staff come into football support? I've never looked at the squad and thought, "oooo lets see if they keep Bohinen, I'll renew then"...

Do people really think like that?

Does this mean your decision to buy an ST and support Rovers varies season by season according to the squad make up?

I've never heard of anyone who makes their ST decision on this basis. I buy an ST because I want to watch Rovers, who plays for us, in relation to buying an ST, is irrelevant.

When you compartmentalise everything that has happened over the last 5 years it's easy to dismiss (many) things as trivial.

The low quality of the squad and crippling dept (despite having super-rich owners) is yet another insult.
