"I would suggest if Jose Mourinho came in here there would have been some fans that were not happy about him, so that's not making light of it.

"I certainly understand that local rivalry and everything that goes with it, then it might be a bit more dividing of people. All I would say is when you come along, come and support your team, get behind your team because that is the key.

Say hello to Kean MkII. His first interview and he already sounds like a Venky puppet and has wasted no time taking a dig at the fans.

FFS ..all down to the cut of the suit now ...ive heard some rubbish ...

Well Neil Warnock would most certainly be a non starter.. he could never pass the "Cut of the Suit" test ..

It's all down to him being a dingle , Kean sympathiser ,slating us , being @#/? and his dodgy connections

Owen Coyle did give a good interview.

He's not an SEM/Kentaro client. He's a former SEM/Kentaro client. If we were to exclude all former SEM/Kentaro clients, we'd be blacklisting a not insignificant portion of the soccer world.

He has loads of experience as a player (669 games). He has loads of experience as a manager (401 games). He has a 40.4% managerial win percentage. Yes, he has stumbled a bit during his short time at Bolton, Wigan and Houston but even at those troubled clubs he managed a 30%+ win percentage. And despite the Houston showing, the Houston fans seem to respect him. He was in a tough spot.

All said, Owen Coyle would not have been my first choice (or second) but he wasn't/isn't the worst choice. Let's give him a chance. And let's hope money is made available to strengthen our squad. We need it,

Are you quite happy for him to deny even knowing who SEM are, as he blatantly did today ?

We've got Steve Kean mk2.

"I always prefer" equates to it being the defining prerequisite? Strange interpretation, but you work away with the dramatisation.

With some people on here everything has to be taken to the nth degree. If the dark force's intentions were to create more division, it has certainly worked. A quick snapshot of this board the past few days shows that some seem to forget they are all 'cut from the same cloth'

It is quite bizarre why he did that.

Though my main concern is his ability, not whether I could trust him with my house keys.

Firstly, welcome back Steve. It's good to see you posting in the Football section.

Second, what a load of bunkum. Spoken like someone who doesn't know the area, the history, or the current feeling, or the feeling towards what that agency - or is pretending not to. Appreciating that you are entitled to your opinion, I would have expected better of you over this.

You have nothing to lose as an overseas fan so "get behind them", by proxy, doesn't quite cut it mate.

Ugh and the LT have called 100 people and found 1 spouting this and it immediatly gets a quote in the paper

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14533827.Mark_Patterson__Owen_Coyle_is_the_right_man_for_the_job_at_Blackburn_Rovers/

As well as the Burnley link, there's this:

"if he is allowed to bring in the players he wants to, then I think he can be good for Rovers."

Which players would he want? And what kind of budget will he be working with?

This second caveat is the other excuse when it goes pear shaped.

He wasn't backed and the fans were on his back from day one.

"Just like Kean"

It's coming.

I forced myself to listen to that and, I'm sorry but I have to say it, he sounds like Steve Kean MkII.

My mates is a die hard Wiganer, said "you've appointed Steve Kean all over again".

Did Coyle deny knowing who SEM are?

From the Guardian newspaper:

"If Man City was a frustrated project for Jerome Anderson he will believe he can help improve Blackburn post-Allardyce as another of his clients, Owen Coyle, is transforming Bolton Wanderers" (Into a debt ridden laughing stock)

You now what, if we just look at his bl00dy managerial record its absolutely abysmal, so forgetting agents, forgetting the billy big times in Yorkshire, his record is absolutely terrible.

Shows how desperate FKW (full kit w*) was for the job in that he agreed to keep on Irvine etc. He's worked with Sandy Stewart in every other managerial role. As soon as Lambert gets a job Irvine will be out and SS in.

I'm not convinced that Lambert and Irvine are much of a double act, are they? It doesn't bode well when Stewart will be the elephant in the room. Could Onan-Irvine be Kean-Jensen MkII?

I still couldn't give two hoots about his bizarre lie about something inconsequential to him in 2016.

Apart from the obvious ownership issues, if we fail it won't be down to his lies, his past or his dress sense, it'll be down to his inability to manage a football club.

His record post-Burnley is awful.

Kean is on record:

"I've been with SEM long before I was at Blackburn. They're a wonderful organisation who have lots of top sportsmen and top managers, including Owen Coyle and Tony Pulis"

Someones telling lies somewhere.
