[Archived] New Article -> New Rovers Manager

Who drew up the shortlist?

Who conducted the interviews?

Who made the recommendation to employ him?

3 questions the wife asked. She isn't interested in Rovers but knew that the manager had gone and we have no chairman or ceo.

Really? You're going to go for smug - after your statements this last week?

Haven't I already addressed these issues and give my views on this.

Please refer to these comments/posts.

I wont be walking away on my club. I thought about it but I didn't and I wont.

if you are then that's your choice but don't start having moans and go's at me for attending games and supporting my club Blackburn Rovers Football club!

I don't know about conspiracy, but it strikes me as odd that Irvine was ever asked or that, if he likes Rovers and gets the area, he would suggest one guy who, even if he's a friend, he must know will go down badly with a large section of the small, remaining fan base. Why would you do it?

Because they are mates. Since when did football people care what the fans think?

Hmmm, this is the way I see boycotting.

After calming down I told my lad today all about rovers new manager (he was 6 last week but is pretty switched on about footy for his age), he got pretty excited and his big, innocent 6 year old eyes just looked up at me and said "well daddy if he can get rubbish like burnley to the premier league maybe he can for Rovers".

I won't be getting a season ticket next year, but I'll be going on when I can just for him mainly as he just loves it, he came off ewood last season after such games as hull, preston & west ham (he did see a few wins too!) and genuinely just loved watching the games, and never stops going on about what he has seen, win lose or draw.

I'm not bothered what folk on here think of me for going as no way am I denying him going to games, and I'll be damned if I'm taking him elsewhere for his live fix.

Aslong as Blackburn Rovers are playing at Ewood Park and my son is enjoying it, then I'll attend when ever I can.

Venkys out, RTID.

Its nothing to do with being a super fan. its due I want to support my club and nothing more. let's me just say this again its nothing to do with being a super fan

I respect anyone who want to boycott but its totally and utter unjustified to start having moans and go's at fans who want to attend games. if you don't want attend games then fine, no problems!

also stop making comments like your mate fat jocks mate is in charge? I have not even met Owen Coyle at all yet. so please explain this comment?

Embrassing? really???

Fantastic sentiments mate. Similar feelings behind my decision to go with my dad. Hopefully you won't be told to 'grow a pair' by know-nowts, mind.

Family and Rovers will always be there.
