I quite like the idea of Chaddy having alter egos for both BRFCS and Twitter. I look forward to you disagreeing with your own Twitter account in the near future.

Khod has already address this and posted what I said. Refer to this please.

Back to the football issues not personal issues

Rovers will be looking for a new GK coach since Laurence Batty has left the club.

Coyle is looking for a new one

Is Laurence Batty the one who came in with Appleton and replaced Mimms?

As far as I was aware he came with Lambert. Bowyer's GK coach had the initials JK if I remember correctly, although I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Only reason I'm aware is because he's mates with my mates dad's colleague

I've included you in 'clappers', Jim. People who will carry on "supporting the team" regardless of whether or not they are also watching the club die.

Protesters also attend too, btw.

I've given the reasons why your "clappers" label is stupid.

Fans who attend each week are aware the club is in trouble but that doesn't mean they want to let it stop them supporting the team on the pitch.

Staying away in my opinion does more long term damage to the club but if fans want to go down that route that's their prerogative.

Batty came in with Lambert.

Mimms left when Berg was sacked.

Appleton bought in John Keeley and he stayed on when Bowyer became permanent manager. He left with Bowyer

I dont think anyone WANTS to go down tgat route and most of us have resisted as long as we can. Ive refused to buy a season ticket twice so far, when kean wasnt potted following relegation and at the start of last season when i really could take no more, but in each case ivw come back as soon as things looked even marginally different. Staying away is not easy. We all want to be there watching Rovers. Its what we do. But different people have different levels of tolerance. I cant bear watching the current set up. I cant stand being disappointed by every aspect of the club week in, week out and paying money to do that. Our club is hopeless and helpless and i really cant be part of that. Venkys and whoever advises them have taken away any sense of anticipation, any excitement, any enthusiasm, any joy in winning, and made most of my weeks since they took over miserable and bleak. Some people can cope with that by lowering expectations, switching off their emotions or just clinging doggedly to the hope that things will change. Ive done that most weeks till now but i cant keep it up any longer. Does that make me less of a fan? I want the best for Rovers. Ill still care but i cant watch it happening any more.

Aren't you the same man who advocated pitch invasions?

What did I say on Brfcc tho?

Me and The person I talk through DM.

My twitter account isnt to do with this messageboard.

In fairness Chaddy that's a very odd thing to say, heaven knows I was explosive at the time of appointment and have somewhat mellowed to it now but whatever I say here, Twitter or in real life is just me. (Current stance is given myself and the club a month to make me want to renew)

To say something isn't relevant because of where you said it makes no sense and seems a cheap way out.

Anyway it can't be too bad news about the keeper coach if Steele is anything to go by!

Wonder if GB will be giving Keeley a call, got the go ahead to bring in his own staff it seems http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/football/blackpool-fc/kyle-remains-as-bowyer-searches-for-back-room-staff-1-7945705#ixzz4AVldrNpZ

It only does the club more damage by staying away because it's an all or nothing strategy. The 'clappers' (still including you) are part of the reason that boycotts will never work.

That being the case we are in Catch-22 because neither set of fans will work together. The clappers won't stay away for even a few minutes to make a point, and the boycotters won't go back because, one, they don't want to watch Venkys continue to destroy the club and, two, they won't want to support the regime and those fans that they see as undermining any boycott.

Notice the change though since the Kean days: then it was Rovers Fans and tremblers. Now it's clappers (no longer happy) and boycotters (no longer there to tremble). Sad times.

Looking that way that Terry McPhilips will join his team. Wouldnt be surprise if Keeley went aswell

TJ, Coyle has a guy called Phil Hughes as goalkeeper coach at Burnley and Bolton.

Tom, Steele improved as the season went on in my opinion but his weakness is goalkicks

Numbers are going own steadily season upon season, that's undeniable. A fair amount of those will be long term fans. I don't think it's necessarily boycotting as much as these people just don't enjoy it any more, or feel they're being treated with disrespect by the club (which is absolutely the case).

The worst part of this is that the club really don't seem to care. They seem happy for people to walk away.

That's exactly what it is.

People on this board talk about boycotting personally and I don't doubt that they are actually boycotters as they expect to return if things change. However, the kind of person that spends half their day on brfcs.com are obviously more engaged with the travails of the club and will remain engaged even if not at the matches.

However, for the majority of fans, they will just stop bothering because the experience is s***e, the atmosphere is s***e, the players are s****, the manager is s***e, the owners are s***e. They stop going and largely won't ever come back- we all know them, the kind of fan that was there for years, now they barely check the score at 5pm on a Saturday, so they definitely won't be buying season tickets for League 1 after Venky's do one (if they ever do).

So I will not be gleefully cheering a collapse in season ticket sales as with our limited fanbase it will only mean we, in a post Venky future, will never again compete, even at Championship level.

Irony in the appointment is that many were Crying out for for a motivator during Bowyers tenure...

Can't see OC winning over some sections by talking - top 3 at the end of september might buy him som tolerance but that is pretty bloody unlikely seeing as we don't even have a team right now.

Personally:

hope the team show passion, commitment and desire and can hang around 8th place

Expect a relegation battle with a dreadful atmosphere at ewood and a return to infighting amongst fans

I did address this boycott issue on the day or day after Coyle appointment within all fairness Tom.

Its seems that some people were more focus on me then talking about Coyle and keeping the thread on topic.

I get bored with Chaddy telling us to keep threads on topic. Sometimes threads wander because that's what real life conversations do too. They usually get back on topic in the end if left to their own devices. I'm still furious they appointed Coyle, still think the appointment was dodgy in the extreme, whether it's anything to do with SEM or just old fashioned jobs for the boys, still has an air of getting back at fans who dared to protest against Venky's ownership. I won't be softening my stance any time soon or in any circumstances other than Venkys leaving or handing over the running of the club to people who actually know what they're doing. And, since they've thrown me out of the seats I want to sit in I won't be buying a season ticket anyway. If at any point I come back it will be on the basis of match day tickets only, certainly at the beginning. I'm not putting money in up front only to find that I don't enjoy the experience at all, but have effectively tied myself to attending even when I really don't want to.
