Had my Season ticket since the 70s and always sat in same position on The Riverside(to begin with to counter all the 'old' men!)

Some good years....20 great ones. Do not want to lose my seat.....will probably renew my seat and then not go. Crazy isn't it. As said Venkys have put us in this position and that is why we need cleansing.

With the greatest respect that is probably the oddest protest I've heard of. If you're going to renew your ST you may as well use it because you'll be included in the attendance anyway.

(Not condemning you for it by the way mhead, it just strikes me as an odd way to protest against Venkys)

Why not put the money you would have spent on an ST, on a few away games?

Get your Rovers fix but give Venkys nothing.

It's up to every individual to chose and I think a bigger than normal drop next season will tell it's own story but it'll be dressed up as something else and painted as the fans fault.

For me personally now the anger and disgust at those who own and run it and even the gravy train riders within the club is outweighing my desire to be there. I'm boycotting for those reasons and those alone and I intend to see it through, confident I can although a serious change of attitude and direction may change my mind.

Get rid of these lot, go in admin, get sold or whatever and i'll sign up for a 5 year season ticket tomorrow. But so far enough is enough with these corrupt idiots running the show, it disgusts me.

We have been made fools of since day one, no more for me.

I was wrong saying you and your father should boycott Ewood and go Fell walking.

Hope you both go and enjoy the football and banter. If you see Burnley Bob stick two fingers up at him.

don't you 'boycott' people realise that we (supporters) are all family and you saying that you won't go till the indians go is destroying what you have.

Don't get me wrong... i've spent many a day feeling bereft about my team but you know what ? turn up and watch our team.

In defiance of the scum Rao family.

Turning your back is just allowing them to continue to abuse you.

I want to boycott.... However my 16 year old lad is unsure. I really love going to the matches home and away with him; had our seats together for 12 years now...

It makes me feel sick thinking how our Club is being destroyed by Venkys...

Got till 4th of July to come to a decision.

Venkys out

No turning my back is saying i really cant take any more of your sickening abuse of the trust placed in you. Continuing to buy a Season Ticket would be for me like the abused partner in a relationship who keeps thinking he/she wont do it again and so going back to them. Ive left twice. Theyve appeared to improve. Ive gone back only to be hit again. For me 3 chances is more than enough.

Only one chance to leave an abusive dv partnership surely?

As a football club, we all takes our choice?

Well I'd only give a partner one chance but I've already given my football club more than that and they keep kicking me in the teeth.

There are a few people on here that seem to be in the same position as me. I want to boycott, however I buy the ticket, drive and sit with my dad who is over 70. He is putting pressure on to renew, living apart this is 'our' day out every other week. He can't stand venkys but still thinks we should go and support/vent.

I'm determined not to go but the emotional blackmail is getting to me. Anyone got any advice.

I'm in a very similar position to you and have put a lot of thought into this.

My dad is renewing and hasn't put pressure on, but I have decided to renew.

If I stop going, I fear my link to the club would be broken and as a non paying customer, my voice/opinion would not hold as much weight.

I have real doubts about what affect boycotting would have. That's not to say I don't see the arguements to boycott as well.

All I expect from fellow fans is to respect my decision to continue going and enjoying my saturday afternoons with my dad whilst I can, as I also respect their decision to boycott.

and yet, here you are talking about the club. I'm going to turn up in defiance of the scum indians.

You can stop going but you'll always be thinks ng/feeling about the team

Ignoring the emotional side of things - and I agree that the OP should go if his dad wants to, although I'm sure they could both find something more enjoyable and entertaining to do together:

Part of the reason there won't be a boycott is because there won't be a boycott. It's self-fulfilling. Everyone is blaming the person next to them. "Well he/she won't boycott so there's no point in me boycotting".

Boycotting is not the same as walking away. It is for a self-determined period or until some desired action is taken. A boycott by its very nature is a short term means to an end.

But the other issue is there is no clear and present enemy. If it was a hated manager then crowds could 'share their thoughts'. But with no visible target, there is no impetus for a protest or pressure group.

So we won't see a boycott as such. Much like we 'haven't' been asset stripped because it has been done so slowly, any boycott will now be through natural attrition. As the older generation depart, there is no younger generation to take their place.

Venkys curse over us is a glacially slow death: Death of our club; death of fans' interest in it; death of the fans' love of football.

Much rests on the strands that have been started on the shareholders, the Indian press and the planned fan meeting. All of which have gone very quiet.

You only get one dad. I'd rather regret watching Rovers, than not spending time with my dad.

The primary reason I suffered under the Scottish @#/? was spending time with my mum at the football. Go to the matches with your dad. Go to every one you can.

I'm not renewing. But I would in a heartbeat if an aging family member wanted my help support and company.

Venkys Out.
