Despite the reservations about Coyle the one thing that should work in the teams favour is actually going through a pre season and into a season with an experienced manager in charge. How long since that actually happened seeing as the rat & Bowyer etc were just basically easy going coaches.

Hopefully they should be put through their paces thoroughly for once and with a clear plan on what they are going to do in the season. Of course it falls down a bit if/when the sales start but as it stands it should benefit the team this season.

Its looking like we are just after a left back and striker at the minute according to Alan Nixon.

going to give Steele and Raya to impressed him during pre season and the same with the right back slot with Marshall, Lowe and Henley fighting it out to play there

nothing to positive about?

Really we have signed a quality striker in Graham and plus a highly rated midfielder in Byrne.

probably spent some on Graham, Gomez, Grimes loans and wages?

Alex McCarthy would be good but I think Ive seen him linked with other PL teams

Michael McGovern?

I would deffo look at bring in Lindegaard in and loan Raya out to get better and more experience

I'll wager a chaddy that none of the above happens.

Thankfully not you. You have a proven record of being an absolute know nowt when it comes to assessing player quality.

Do you ever post anything other than a personal insult? Are you interested in football at all?

Deryck baby can you tell us how we've done on the field over the past six years or so if they were that good.

Pretty sure Powell won't be happening.

Whilst not great by any means, I'd have offered Simeon Jackson a 1 year deal as 3rd/4th choice striker.

He sounds like a plant pot agents bitch with every post that dares to criticise the players or managers.

After tonight we can forget about Robson Kanu.

Not necessarily. While he's having a great tournament, there must be a reason why he was released from a bottom-half Championship club.

Jackson is not up to scratch in this league, even as back up. We would be just as well promoting one of our academy players to the bench.

I expect 6/7 from the youth team will pad the first team squad this year.

League 1 here we cime then because they are not good enough

Victor Anichebe is without a club.

Wonder why is it because he's a poor player.

How many goals did he score last season ?

Said for some time that I recon Anichebe would take the @#/? in the championship. Reminds me of Jason Roberts, sometimes you need that type of player.

Anichebe would be a handful in the Championship but I feel he wouldn't complement Graham and we can't afford both his and DG's wages if they're not both starting.

I know. What would he compliment Graham on? ...His beard?

Complement, consarn it!

Sorry, autocorrect actually!

Great input though, thanks for keeping the boards regulated.
