It's not a view I subscribe to, seeing as we've had transfer related updates from Kamy, neophox, Mani and odd snippets from around 4 other non-regular posters in the last month or so.

Chaddy posts links from a variety of sources. It just happens that Nixon is very active on Rovers. Whether he is right or wrong is not chaddy fault.

Stop shooting the messenger and skim past it like the majority do. It's getting very tiresome for us mods to deal with.

Yes the Nixon updates get irritating at times (even to me), but posts like this which suggest some untoward (and unsubstantiated) effect are more annoying, especially as they seem to be aimed stopping chaddy from posting rather than anything else.

It isn't that there just isn't much news from elsewhere

I'm sure just yesterday we discussed Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor, O'Hara, Kanacilic, Frimong, Sanogo, Hutchinson and others none of which were mentioned by Donald from Benidorm

I also think it's a self fulfilling prophecy - such highlight has been brought on Chaddy and Nixon that any time it's mentioned someone has to comment on it being chaddy and Nixon and create more Chaddy / Nixon posts.

I'm as big a critic of Nixon as anyone, believe me.

However, as historically, Nixon is close to Coyle, it stands to reason that a good % of the rumours that come about these days will originate from him. Sad but true unfortunately.

Although i'm inclined to agree, in the opening post of this thread Nixon claimed we were close to signing 2 players and we had a good day.

Actually it's not. It's the fact that Chaddy posts everything Nixon says as though it's gospel truth. There was a time when I read Nixon's posts on here with interest. Now I'm not bothered, I've got Chaddy on ignore and I've resigned myself to transfers being underwhelming in the extreme. Life is much better.

I don't read the papers if I can help it, so snippets posted on here are great, I appreciate chaddys input as do many others.

If anyone else wants to post snippets from other sources they're more than welcome to do so, it shouldn't be a problem, it's a messageboard after all.

I think we'll lose Duffy, Hanley or Marshall before the end of the season, we may even see 1 of them go before the season starts.

I read from several posters that they believed Venkys didn't want to 'waste money' by giving it to Lambert, we're about to find out if that was fact or bunkum, I suspect the later.

I don't dö Twitter or get uk papers - chaddys "Nixon watch" is quite fun as it highlights just how much bs is in the papers and occasionally gets things right.

Suspect duffy will be the player to leave - no idea who we will Sign (hence why ANY speculation on here is interesting)

I don't do twitter generally and I don't read the papers either and I don't mind the Nixon snippets except when Chaddy types them a) as though they contain more than 1%truth and 99% speculation and spin, and b)as though the players suggested will somehow be the greatest thING since sliced bread as soon as they sign for Rovers.

If he merely typed the link it would be less of an issue. I could then ignore it as I have him on ignore. He winds me up and I say nastier things than I'd say normally and that can't be right so I'd rather be able to ignore Chaddy totally
