It isn't that there just isn't much news from elsewhere

I'm sure just yesterday we discussed Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor, O'Hara, Kanacilic, Frimong, Sanogo, Hutchinson and others none of which were mentioned by Donald from Benidorm

I also think it's a self fulfilling prophecy - such highlight has been brought on Chaddy and Nixon that any time it's mentioned someone has to comment on it being chaddy and Nixon and create more Chaddy / Nixon posts.

We started a Nixon thread but Chaddy refuses to use it, preferring to deliberately irritate people on this thread.

Tbf Al, having different threads for one journo and one for the rest is just a bit weird. If anything it glorifies Nixon. All transfer discussion in one place, with possibly a separate thread for just links (all links) works better for all concerned.

Stuart asked for other opinions and it seems most of us mods are in relative consensus about chaddy and Nixon not being a problem.

I don't even like reading the Nixon rumours myself most of the time as it's just rubbish. But it's a Rovers messageboard and they are Rovers-related snippets. No issue there.

Rumours on twatter that we're in for Adam Reach along with 3/4 other clubs. Impressed me when i watched him, physical solid winger at this level.

Wolves and Preston are two of the others so we have little chance of getting him

Sure Rhodes will warn him off too

Actually it's not. It's the fact that Chaddy posts everything Nixon says as though it's gospel truth. There was a time when I read Nixon's posts on here with interest. Now I'm not bothered, I've got Chaddy on ignore and I've resigned myself to transfers being underwhelming in the extreme. Life is much better.

On another angle, why find out earlier than others about the next crap signing we are making! What's the rush?

I prefer the bad news as late as possible.

I've already tried to cover this. Ironically in a bid to keep the transfer thread clean and stop descending into spats (and it's not just me who is frustrated by it - some well respected posters too).

Genuine transfer news and speculation in one thread - and Twittle-Twattle in another (including Nixon so as not to glorify him).

It's not weird at all. Nixon is a known entity and has history. He infuriates by teasing, chatting @#/? and then say "oh, somebody changed their mind" - because he is never wrong.

Now we have the additional frustration - since he went into self-imposed exile - of a groupie only posting what he says.

But clearly I'm in the minority and this IS what BRFCS has become and this is the kind of content that is wanted by the site - as confirmed by the 'consensus of the mods' - so I'll put Chaddy on ignore now and you are welcome to him.

If the only links we are going to get - and it now seems we have gone from 'Nixon has a good relationship with Koyle' to 'Nixon is exclusively the source of transfer information' especially when ANY other gossip is run by Nixon first and a decision posted - then we may as well close this thread and everyone can just follow @reluctantnicko on Twitter instead.

The quote about Marshall is one that doesn't do you any favours. You THINK Nixon says Fulham are interested in Marshall despite you not seeing a tweet saying he is leaving.

You need to think carefully and perhaps proof read what you write mate.

1. nixon will also be close to a lot of other people, agents, ect..(possibly even more so than he is with coyle) so all his information becomes muddied(to say the least)

2. you keep repeating this over and over, im pretty sure that you only do it to further antagonise, but either way, why don't you just take your own advise and ignore those that constantly criticise you?

In fairness Nixon's story was that Fulham wanted to buy Marshall,he didn't say in the piece or on Twitter that Marshall would join Fulham,only that they wanted to buy him

My point really was that Chaddys post was poorly written and giving the wrong impression.
