the Feeney link is from Alan Nixon.

Lets see who we sign first. some deals are easier than others are.

I agree we need something to improve the fans morale, signing Danny Graham would help that

we were spending at the start of last season probably around 50k a week on strikers and during the season the personal might have change but I don't see the wages going down tbf.

last season Celtic had to sell a key player and use that money to bring players in. The total transfer income was 14 mil and spend 9 mil of that.

Celtic will have to go through 2 qualify rounds first before they even get to the group stages, so no guarantee he will be playing champions league,

I see there is media reports that Steven Fletcher will hold talks with Celtic

All because we were spending that last season, doesn't mean we will be this season. I would be surprised if we could offer over £15k pw. What was our transfer income and expenditure last season? Since last summer we have brought in at least £20mill in fees (Cairney, Gestede, Rhodes). We certainly haven't spent two thirds of it (like Celtic did with their transfer income) and I can't see it happening any time soon.

Chaddy according to wheelock and Nixon the budget has been reduced this season, wages and transfer budget.I don't see us paying someone 20k a week 15 at a stretch but Graham will surely get a higher offer than that.Celtic can pay higher wages than us chaddy

well if we struggle to offer good wages then why would Coyle be meeting Graham and his agent this week then would we?

Who's to say we won't just offer him £10k p/w and say take it or leave it? You'd be foolish to think we've got a big wage budget on that alone.

Just because we are meeting doesn't mean that there won't be a huge gap between what the Rovers can afford to offer and what Graham will want. Cheston has already said that avoiding a transfer embargo is part of the plan and with income falling substantially this year our wage bill will also have to fall substantially.

To have a chat about stamp collecting? I don't know.

All because they are meeting, it doesn't mean we are able to offer a better financial package than Celtic, which is what you have said. You spoke about Fletcher possibly moving to Celtic. He will almost certainly demand more money than Graham. Also, why wouldn't Graham meet with Coyle to discuss his options? If Celtic sign Fletcher (a better player than Graham), then DG will have to look to his next best option. Could be us, could be someone else. Doesn't mean we've got money to throw around.

it's a charm offensive Chaddy ...OCM and his advisors will know there is a large contingent of Rovers fans he has to try and win over and what better way than try and convince fans favourite to stay they'll offer something along the lines of "we're skint we can't match the financial package other clubs can we can only offer you x ... but we can guarantee first team football at a club you know with (some) of players you spent last year playing with " IF Danny Graham is certifiably insane he'll turn down Celtic and the Champions League and join us ... If not OCM can say "well we tried"

Surely Coyle will know what he got to spend money/budget wise this season.

Also Coyle would have spoke to Graham's agent to discuss wages and fees before arrange a meeting with Danny Graham surely?

Im aware of Cheston's comments but the owners can also invest their own money and change the mind about budget like they did in Bowyer 1st season in charge

You kept banging on about Lambert having £15m to spend this summer despite various members on here warning you that was never going to happen. I've no problem with optimism Chaddy, but you're in cloud cuckoo land if you think we have £20k p/w to offer to players. Not a chance. If Graham signs here it will be for significantly less than he's been on previously.

I am sure Coyle will know. Doesn't mean it's any closer to the £20k a week you say we'll be chucking at players. End of the day, Chaddy, it's all complete guesswork so stop speaking as if it's gospel. Looking at the real world though, I doubt we will be offering better packages than Celtic. You also mentioned Celtic's transfer income and expenditure as if it's relevant, yet completely ignored when I mentioned we've brought in £20mill in transfers the last twelve months and spent diddly squat of it.

They could quite well offer him 10k pwk and a 2 year deal with an option of a third year and some unrealistic promotion bonus or something in the hope he'll bite. You don't know until you ask.

You mention Celtic selling to buy yet fail to notice we've been selling to survive and not buy for the last 12 months. We had to shift a 9 mill pound player and his 45k wages just in order to bring 4 heavily subsidised short terms loan for gods sake. The costs are being slashed all the time and supposedly the wage bill. Just where you pull out of thin air we can afford 20k pwk all of a sudden god only knows.

Cuckoo land maybe :o

Thats the problem. I had only posted a couple of comments each day from him. Aswell as posting links from the LT and other people.

Nixon is going to be good source cos of his relationship with Coyle.

Really dont see what the problem is to be honest

Your an absolute fool the more you talk and quote rubbish the worse you get as for the man in the know Mani.. Lol my cat knows more

The players we'll sign are whom get punted on to Rovers via certain agents if you think otherwise your completely stupid

Will it work keeping the faith maybe but realistically no league one here we come

It's pretty unrealistic to expect us to be paying 20k p/w, given our spending habits over the last year or so. I very much doubt we could outspend Celtic either. Not to mention we would be a considerably less attractive proposition!

Ain't no way we are paying 20k a week for someone.

Maybe some promotion bonuses that could eventually amount to something similar, but that depends on the likelihood of us having anyone in the club left to negotiate such.

They might as well wrap it up now then.

I disagree totally, we will pay slightly in excess of 20k per week for the right player. They won't all get it but the odd few certainly will.

Paying a meaty transfer fee and giving 20k + a week is another story.

Isn't Graham technically still registered to Rovers until the end of June?

If so, a meeting would be a matter of courtesy of nothing else. Although courtesy to players has been in short supply from Rovers in recent years, just ask Salgado, Nelsen, Roberts et al.

I am sure It was mentioned during the NI vs Poland game that right back Ryan McLaughlin has been released by Liverpool (his brother Connor plays for NI) .. I've seen a couple of cup games he played in and looked pretty decent
