Well Marshall will probably be on a decent wedge and of course he wants a new contract and probably a pay rise so that'll be his card marked along with Hanley. As said it would all fit into chopping the wages which is why we'll no be offering Graham or anyone else 20k pwk.

I reckon from now on we are a 5 to 10 grand pwk paying club. Mind you it didn't do Brum any harm, only outside chance of any quality whatsoever will be heavily subsidised loans which to be fair does seem to be an area where Coyle has been good.

Define 'good'...

He was waffling about one of the ones he got in at Bolton only costing Wanderers around a third of his real wages. Well connected is our Owen B)

I'd say wage cutting and player sales (with a whiff of agent involvement) along with questionable signings fits snugly into a conspiracy theory, wouldn't you?

Cheaper manager, cheaper board (non existent), cheaper squad and no investment just fits in with the fact the club is 100m+ in the hole. That's the sum of it for me.

Thank goodness for that. I was worried something was wrong.

i honestly couldn't care less about any of our current senior players being sold these days, Marshall, Hanley, duffy they maybe some of our better players, but they're still pretty crud on the whole and i dont feel any kind of affinity to any of them. I'm more disapointed when i see academy and young reserve players go without being given a chance.

Did I say there wasn't? I hate perpetuating the bickering on this website, why bother with such a snide sarcastic reply?

It was actually a VERY funny response

It's not the players leaving it's that the replacements will be another step down from mostly average players anyway. Add in they won't pay fees then we aint going to get much for nothing.

Also in the case of Marshall and Hanley they are pretty decent for this division and we certainly won't get much better without spending.

I'll admit to a modicum of sarcasm Jbizzle. I always try to see things from a humorous perspective. But nothing snide about it, or personal.

As Mike E said, just an attempt at humour. No harm meant B)

None taken, apologies for the snappy reply!

There's nowt much to see in a humourous light dann Ewood! Unless we are using the term laughable, which describes the reasons for our plight.

Glasgow and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning!

I haven't said it isn't (apart from joking about the Tennants cans). Not everyone fancies a move to Scotland though. I wouldn't. All those bearded babies freak me out.

Makes for an amazing game of knock-down-ginger, though :P

technically you could probably say that about any town and city in the British Isles

Yes you possibly could, but the context of my post was in response to this:

Not everyone wants to live in Glasgow though. Although Blackburn is dire, the surrounding areas are nice and Manchester isn't far away.

Pedro's post insinuates that Glasgow is a sh1thole without any nice surrounding areas, which - having lived in the city for 21 years - I can categorically state is the height of nonsense. I'm assuming the person that posted that has never been shopping in Glasgow or indeed visited the likes of Loch Lomond, the Trossachs etc which are just 30 minutes away from the city. Given the choice between Blackburn and Glasgow, I know which one I would choose......and in fact did.

Edit: Just seen Pedro's post above. Sorry but you did give the distinct impression that you didn't rate Glasgow my friend, and as someone who's job it is to help regenerate the city, I couldn't let that one go.

Probably the best approach Abbey. All huff and no puff, loads of rumours, but nowt of substance.

I still don't reckon much transfer business will be done anywhere until the Euros are done.

Not missed much Abbey, Mystic McMeg has been crystal ball gazing and reciting to his cult followers,

"beyond the mists of the Dingley Dell a wee gem shall hunt for other wee gems discarded by their tribes, some may come some may not but I was right in any case and the effects of the witches to the East can not be underestimated in this game of guesses""

ive only stayed in glasgow once and it was ten years ago, but it was very much a miserable ugly lookng poophole full of gobby pishheads at the time, Edinburgh seems to be the place to be and is a gorgeous city full of culture(although tbf its likely just as full of pishheads and junkies as Glasgow)

but i think the real issue with living in glasgow(or Edinburgh) is that its so far away from everywhere else thats good in he uk.

The actor you refer to has died Perth. Maybe you did not know but this but out of respect I think that the admins should hide this post.

First time I went to Glasgow I arrived at about 7.30 not far from Govan and two drunk blokes were fighting in the middle of a 4 lane road. Proper going at it rolling around on the tarmac, these guys were about 70 years old !

That was my first impression and it's not changed much mind you that probably happens around here these days.

Coyle jnr is certainly doing his PR bit but jobs for the boys in mind. Myers role is up for grabs isn't it ? Fair play to him though but it's probably mostly cobblers he's been saying the same thing since dad walked through the door. He'll get some stick before long if ex Rovers flop Feeny is the exciting resigning.

Why is Coyle's boy playing the role of a mini-Nixon on Twitter? If I were Owen I'd be reining him in sharpish. It just looks tacky and unprofessional; but then I guess this is us all over these days.

Dare i even ask what he's saying?
