Stevo Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 If we do sign Graham I will be pleasantly surprised and it would actually give me the smallest slither of hope for the rest of the summer's transfer activity.

Stuart Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Looks like Graham has decided to join us. Credible sources say he's passed a medical today. Him signing means we'll have a chance of staying up next season. Who are your sources? Why haven't they announced it today?
dallydally Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Who are your sources? Why haven't they announced it today? Given the silence from Nixon perhaps it is true!
Mani Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Looks like Graham has decided to join us. Credible sources say he's passed a medical today. Him signing means we'll have a chance of staying up next season. Be funny if it does happen. There's been a lot of bluster today from the 'it'll never happen' brigade....they'll prob all start moaning that he's on too much money!! 😂😂
chaddyrovers Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 He's already made a verbal agreement with Celtic chadderton. Now unless between now and 30/06/16 rovers come in with wages exceeding those offered by Celtic and rovers suddenly qualify for the champions league then he won't be coming here, why would he pal, he would be stupid too. has he? looking like Celtic have passed on him. wonder if the Celtic board are unhappy paying those wages to a 31 years old striker also Celtic have 2 qualify rounds first before the even reach the group stages of the Champions league, they haven't made the group stages for the past 2 seasons Not according to the local Glasgow newspaper he hasn't http://m.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/14552720.Danny_Graham_looks_Blackburn_bound_as_Hoops_pass_on_striker/ Thanks for the link
islander200 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Given the silence from Nixon perhaps it is true!Nixon has said that he hasn't had a medical. Before I get jumped on not saying I believe him but that's what he said.Still see Graham ending up in Scotland.Yeah he will have to reduce his wage demands but he was on 30+ at Sunderland can't see him accepting anything less than 20k which sadly I don't think we will be paying
dallydally Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 The waiting for confirmation (or denial) is agonising. I think a lot hinges on this psychologically as much as anything. Apart from fans it would also give the squad a boost. Let's hope its not a false dawn; guess the important thing is not to count your chickens before they are hatched (as the Venkys would say)
chaddyrovers Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 Be funny if it does happen. There's been a lot of bluster today from the 'it'll never happen' brigade....they'll prob all start moaning that he's on too much money!! yeah it would probably would Mani, plenty of members have said it would never happen to me and said I would wrong

Twitter?
islander200 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 yeah it would probably would Mani, plenty of members have said it would never happen to me and said I would wrongHas it happened yet chaddy? Not saying I wouldn't be delighted with Graham signing and I would be happy if you are right, just don't see us offering him good enough money.Find it funny that you quote Nixon on everything but haven't seen you quoting him saying that Graham hasn't had a medical
islander200 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Where has he said this? Twitter?Yeah someone asked him if Graham had had a medical,he said no.Plus he has been saying for ages that his wages are high

wolfie Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 If he's signed, fair play Coyley. Please, just don't. Lol, beat me to it Davulsukur
dallydally Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Yeah someone asked him if Graham had had a medical,he said no.Plus he has been saying for ages that his wages are high Saying he hasn't had a medical doesn't mean a move is not on. Hopefully it was a straight answer to a straight question. If he has agreed to join Rovers - with personal terms agreed - the medical will be the last phase. Something about straws and clutching on my part?
Dunnfc Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Please, just don't. Lol, beat me to it Davulsukur Sickening. Credit where its due, if he pulls of Graham then he has done well despite being an abject failure somehow he will have convinced a top championship player to sign surely you can see that.
islander200 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Credit where its due, if he pulls of Graham then he has done well despite being an abject failure somehow he will have convinced a top championship player to sign surely you can see that. You have changed your mind on Graham? When Lambert signed him last season you said it was a poor signing?
Amo Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 You have changed your mind on Graham? When Lambert signed him last season you said it was a poor signing? There were a few on here with a strange anti-Lambert agenda from the off. Dunnfc wanted shot of him after a few games... and the less said about Rev's views the better.
Stuart Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 So Graham has had a medical but also hasn't had a medical? It does seem quite odd that he would have one so soon after the season has finished. Are Rovers training sessions not a good enough indicator, following the medical he would have had to join? I'd be delighted if Graham joined but it would take most if not all of next season's budget to do so. Unless we are selling our three remaining decent players to fund it. I think we need to see what our squad looks like by the time we start the season before anyone starts crowing.
Dunnfc Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 You have changed your mind on Graham? When Lambert signed him last season you said it was a poor signing? He did well, maybe it was the step down to the championship or the system we played but i caught a few games at the tail end and he led the line well. I maybe incorrect but think i may have said i'd like to be proved wrong at somepoint, either way eating a slither of humble pie and hope he continues in blue and white alongside a pacy front man as hes worth 15 goals a season at this level.
Gav Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 You have to ask the question, why's Coyle buying a Lambert player? If he signs which I doubt. I'd have thought Coyle would have his own targets and his own ideas? Is this a signing to win the fans over? He's a decent player but he's never going to break any pots, poor goal scoring record also.

He improved as the games went by which suggests a confidence player.

(And I don't mean Danny Graham)
