You have to ask the question, why's Coyle buying a Lambert player? If he signs which I doubt.

I'd have thought Coyle would have his own targets and his own ideas?

Is this a signing to win the fans over?

He's a decent player but he's never going to break any pots, poor goal scoring record also.

His goal ratio at Rovers extrapolated for a full season would see him knocking on a total close to 20. Surely that would do?!!

Graham, if it happens, will only work he we sign someone decent to play off him. We need options up front because I don't think Graham has the legs to carry the attack on his own.

A Nahki Wells with pace type would suit him i think.

Well it would do for me, but we had a 20 goal a season striker and it wouldn't do for some...

But being serious for a minute, I'd be shocked if Graham has ever scored 20 goals in a season, in fact I'd wager he's probably not scored 20 in 2 consecutive seasons!

Still as has already been mentioned, he's a good signing at our level, he may just keep us up.

He scored a lot for Watford then moved to the PL where he struggled. He came here and did well in a crap team in half a season. His attitude looked excellent and if he scored those goals over a season he'd be labelled prolific. I wouldn't say he has a poor scoring record at this level.

To be fair to Coyle the guy is quite simply a good player in this league. Coyle would have to be Steve Kean stupid not to want to retain him.

He did for Watford, 27 (24 league goals).

Just checked his record, he had that one good season back in 2010 as you say Booth, but aside from that his scoring record is pretty poor.

All that said his all round play at this level is good, and he may just keep us up.

because a certain agency he has not heard of has told him to because it will appease those fans he slated at the place of dreaded places that needed filling.

Because he's the best striker we can realistically get?

Coyle would have spoken to Irvine and Kelly about Danny Graham, plus he would have know how well he did here last season and he is out of contract now aswell

Coyle is supposedly meeting 5 or 6 strikers with their agents this week.

5 or 6? Sounds like they are queuing up! We don't have the luxury of time. If someone fits the bill, is willing to come and we can strike an acceptable deal GET IT DONE!

Belgium cannot get the final ball right once. Very poor.

Some of the worst haircuts of the tournament so far are on show in this game.

What a bunch of fannies.

Either you're living in a dream world scouting the Belgium national team

Or

You posted in the wrong thread.

I hope its the first one, although it doesn't sound like you'd be signing any of them (due to awful haircuts)

A lot of wasted time in the PL though Gav (Sunderland/Hull). He scored 6 goals from 18 appearances for Boro on loan in that period and 1 goal in 5 for Wolves.

The season before he won the golden boot at Watford he scored 14 goals and ended their top scorer.

Before Watford he was at Carlisle in League 1 and scored a few (17 & 16 goals in consecutive seasons), but before that he didn't do much.

Had he stayed in the Championship I think he'd have continued a decent scoring record.

As you say though it's his all round play that's needed, we haven't had a forward like Graham for a while.

This might just be agents guff trying to force someone's hand but if we did get him I wonder if the lack of ST sales could have panicked them into pushing the boat out for him.

Still don't see it coming off as I think they'd want to announce this one as soon as possible.
