If we end up with Stokes and not Graham, that will be bad business in my book.

The.scenario most likely in my book. If the offer is made to Graham and he is still considering other offers then it must be really low given that he loved it here. He'll be signing somewhere else which is a damned shame because he is quality AND a workhorse. I grew to really enjoy Grahams style of play. He should have been a top priority signing not a passive interest, dangle a low offer and hope he takes it. Blew it we have.

I don't think Coyles going to struggle to attract players if he can match their wage demands.

With these modern players no doubt the would signfor Attila the Hun, Hitler or George W Bush if you matched their wage demands. (or the agents fees are high enough)

Transfer discussion thread. If posters aren't able to work out that tittle tattle from a red top journalist is likely to be absolute bunkum most of the time then frankly I pity them. What exactly do you expect? If you don't like it don't read it. If you don't like certain posters then put them on ignore, if that's still not working for you then trying growing a thick skin.

Let's not do any speculation at all. Just wait for the news to break. That'll be dull. I choose to take it all with a pinch of salt. Is it really so hard?

And no I'm not a mod either - which is undoubtedly a good thing. And you know what? The guy who gets all the stick annoys me as well. I believe he means well in the main. Maybe I'm made of strong stuff, I don't know, but surely it's not worth bleating on about day after day?

I have this really neat trick, I start reading a post if I don't like what I'm reading, political crap, bickering, finger pointing, back stabbing, name calling I put my thimb on the.screen of my phone and move it in an upwards fashion. Works for me.

. We signed a decent player yesterday. 👍🏽

Allegedly.

Apparently another four players have put pen to paper and will be announced next week according to Nicko.

Know what that means? We finally found someone who can operate the fax.

There was a cue to sign him

Queue.

Anyways.. Is this four players signed and ready aswell as the other three or has it gone from three to four.. As that would just mean this defender on top of feeney the Prem loan and maybe graham

From what I can make out, the four are Feeney, young loan plus two who had not previously been linked. Apparently, Graham isn't one of them...

Hoping that one of the four is not Maynard!

Anyone else get the feeling that the prem starlet won't be anyone decent and that the 'best' signing we make will be Stokes?

I have a feeling Coyle will sign some decent players tbh. He's well liked. I'm just not as sure he'll be able to put them all together in a cohesive team! 😩

I think Paul was helping to correct gumboot's pun.

But why are we in for a loan left back having just signed up Spurr? Doesn't seem like a priority when we don't have a decent right back and have been playing midfielders there for two seasons.

Is this our amazing PL loan? Not surprisingly underwhelmed.

'Dude' ffs.

Any regular visitor on here knows that you aren't modded at all, otherwise you would have been banned long ago.

As for you picking up someone else's spelling, more evidence that you have no concept of irony.

ive had more bans than anyone ...next

Abbeys been at it for aslong as I remember.. Picks on anyone as he thinks he's some sort of bad man.. lovely these keyboards ain't they abbey

Anyway Stephen hendrie thought he was a snooker player lol although we do need a left back.. Anything has to be better then Henley and spurr

oh look who is back ..thought you wernt on here no more .what are you going to do threaten me again.

Chaddy - you are setting yourself up for a fall - have very high hopes for this "amazing" PL loan which Coyle has little chance of meeting.

Stuart used the term amazing PL loan not me.

Me having high hopes? I am waiting to see who it is. No links who it is. No I have no high hopes

i am trying to ignore but chaddy you posted "Hendrie isnt the amazing PL loan.

Hendrie is one of three. Other is amazing PL loan and probably Feeney"

& then "Stuart used the term amazing PL loan not me."

Can't be arsed trawling to see whether the term was used earlier, but Stuart did use it - presumably in the sense that Nixon seems to have been bigging something up - in post 1408, which is the one Chaddy replied to.

Another day, another series of petty squabbles.......

How did we miss out on Derbyshire?

In my opinion Derbyshire isn't good enough and we should be looking for better than him (which Stokes is). Had he no local connections this board would be in uproar if we signed a Rotherham reject.

Look, I've kept out of this to avoid petty squabbles so please don't bring me into it. Nixon and Chaddy have indeed bigged up this PL loan so somebody who will improve the first team is expected.

All that said, despite me remaining quiet, Chaddy has continued to make the thread meaningless by posting exclusive Nixon BS with full support and encouragement for the mods.

But surely we've not descended so far as to not stifle ANY non-Nixon-generated posts, have we?

I wasn't 'bringing you into it' Stuart, simply pointing out what the sequence of events appeared to be.

I think that is your amazing Premier League loan. The fact that we are in the free bin and loan market is still disgusting.

Someone I know who works in football (in Scotland) seems to think we are getting an Arsenal midfield lad on loan. It was something he'd overheard and I know that is third hand gossip and without even a name attached to it, so hardly 'information', but has anyone from that club been mentioned on here before?
