He will have alot of offers to consider but hopeful we have offered him good wages to stay. Cant see him getting better elsewhere tbf

How would you know what wages we are offering? Or in fact what wages other clubs are offering? Rovers don't pay high wages in this league - at least not compared to the Sheff Weds, Brighton's etc and definitely not compared to Newcastle, Villa and Norwich. It wouldn't surprise me if Graham turned out for any of those 5 clubs.

As a side note your comment about Graham not wanting to move to Celtic was completely mental. Why wouldn't a 30 (31) year old footballer thats not won anything of note not want to be the lead striker in front of 60k fans playing in the Champions League and almost guaranteed a league title?

Apologies if incorrect Gumboots but I seem to remember you having said before you're a teacher.

If indeed you are I'm surprised that you'd expect immature, self absorbed 19 year old lads to have any head space for anyone but themselves...

I was indeed a teacher and I expected my 11 year old to think about their parents and families and to be fair, most of them did. I suppose it's still part of their culture in a way it isn't in western culture. One of the worst punishments for kids who swore in class was to make them ring their mums and repeat what they'd said over the phone.

I could see Brighton or Wednesday but doubt very much those dropping down would touch him. If the offer was good enough then he'd have signed but it obviously isn't so probably forget about that one in my opinion.

The rumour that I have heard that the mystery loan player is Patrick Roberts from Manchester City. He was loaned out to Celtic last January on a 18 month deal but have heard that the break clause had been activated and player will sign later this week once he returns from holiday.

I hope that this is true as he is a highly rated young player.

Well that would be a decent signing..

Toral would be a good signing where would you say Hanley's off too.

I think Hanley could well stay IF the incoming players are good enough i.e. in his view capable of really improving Rovers. He is a bit like Dunnie - blue and white down the middle - so let's see what materialises

With the emergency loan window closing what are the rules regarding the number of loans a season now.

52.2 There shall be four categories of temporary loan transfers allowed - Standard Loans, International Loans, Emergency Loans and Youth Loans. The following restrictions shall apply to each type of loan:

52.2.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by The League under the provisions of Regulation 54.

52.2.2 Subject to Regulation 53.2.5, no Club may sign more than 4 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) from another Club (or club) in any Season. An additional Youth Loan Player may be added to this figure.

52.3 Standard, International, Emergency and Youth Loans to non-Member Clubs will be subject to the rules and regulations of the respective leagues / national associations.

52.4 Clubs shall be permitted to charge or pay a Loan Fee. The provisions of Regulation 49 shall apply in respect of the method of payment (and all associated matters relating thereto) of any Loan Fee

That's a good point. It is important what signal Venky's send to existing decent players. My guess is that the signals have hardly been ones of ambition...

Was the clause broken by Celtic or Man City ?

Friend in London understands that Coyle has asked the question about Toral and he does get goals from midfield.

I would say Newcastle, Derby. Glasgow in that order. Newcastle have the coin, Pearson keen but not at Rovers' price whilst the Glasgow clubs are on the rails at this stage.

Isn't Roberts a winger? Never seen him action but obviously he is a huge talent.

Pep must be SEM??

MEN has written about him as a winger.

Doesn't sound like our goal scoring midfielder.

Haha so Boro are trying to move Rhodes on? I have to say I'm unsurprised. It's pretty difficult watching him in training everyday struggling to do the most simple drills, unable to make 5yrd passes...the lads whispering and laughing at him. Painful for managers. Karanka obv sees what many others do...a league 2 footballer with the finishing prowess of Jermain Defoe. I don't want him back.

Absolutely rubbish that you need to give your head a wobble

Your talking about a striker with 20 plus goals a season for the last 7 years

Anyhow were discussing transfers not a Boro striker

Anyone else heard anything more about wheater apparently us and Wigan are interested

If we're interested in Wheater that presumably means Hanley is on his way. No surprises there then.
