How would you know what wages we are offering? Or in fact what wages other clubs are offering? Rovers don't pay high wages in this league - at least not compared to the Sheff Weds, Brighton's etc and definitely not compared to Newcastle, Villa and Norwich. It wouldn't surprise me if Graham turned out for any of those 5 clubs.

As a side note your comment about Graham not wanting to move to Celtic was completely mental. Why wouldn't a 30 (31) year old footballer thats not won anything of note not want to be the lead striker in front of 60k fans playing in the Champions League and almost guaranteed a league title?

are any of those clubs like Sheff Wed or Brighton even after him? or even the relegation clubs?

playing in the champions league? they have 2 qualifying rounds first before they even get to the group stages. plus they haven't reach them in the past 2 seasons.

The rumour that I have heard that the mystery loan player is Patrick Roberts from Manchester City. He was loaned out to Celtic last January on a 18 month deal but have heard that the break clause had been activated and player will sign later this week once he returns from holiday.

I hope that this is true as he is a highly rated young player.

isn't Roberts a winger? as we signing Feeney that will give us 5 wingers then. do we need a 6th?

Friend in London understands that Coyle has asked the question about Toral and he does get goals from midfield.

I would say Newcastle, Derby. Glasgow in that order. Newcastle have the coin, Pearson keen but not at Rovers' price whilst the Glasgow clubs are on the rails at this stage.

If Hanley do go to Newcastle at least he will enjoy the nightlife there

Care to elaborate?

There's nothing in that article to get your knickers in a twist over. Hopefully he joins if not, quite rightly, you move on to the next target.

Am I missing something here?

exactly.

If Graham wants to join then come and sign for us. Coyle has to give himself a deadline then we can move for other players if Graham isn't coming.

same for Tommy Spurr, if he wants to join then come and sign. if not move on. I personally wouldn't sign Spurr anyway

Think you'll find Grayson's done a job on Spurr.

Would be City. He looked quality at Celtic so there's no way they wouldn't want him back.

I'm not sure City would be allowed to recall Patrick Roberts then send him out to another club? Celtic gave him plenty of game time and he would benefit greatly from the extra season there.

If a Prem team is after Hanley, then you'd expect it happen.

I rate him, despite his tendency to do something stupid every now and again.

I think he'd be a big loss to us, I doubt FKW would be able to replace him with anything remotely as good with no money.

The big problem if Hanley goes is replacing him. After an indifferent couple of seasons he really came good under Lambert and was head and shoulders above anybody else last season. With Kilgallon gone it left Rovers short of centre halves anyway and if Hanley were to go I don't believe he could be replaced by any cheap or free replacements. If this happens I firmly believe we would be relegation certainties.

Should try for Marriappa on a free to replace him if true.

With the premiership windfall any premiership team should have to pay 5m minimum.

Do you really think the money would be spent on players? The black hole would swallow the money up.

Hanley won't go to a Championship side IF Coyle impresses with his signings. He is Rovers through and through
