If Graham signs it will justify my decision to renew my season ticket and could make me think that Coyle may not be all that bad. Or is that going too far?

You can't fault the guy's effort to date but that isn't the measure; success i.e. results is the key and we won't know about that for some time yet

Judge Coyle after some games, not signing players that count, only results...

Can't fault him so far to be fair.

I have huge doubts about Coyle but to be fair I can't fault what he is doing in terms of using a limited budget to rebuild the squad. With the emergency loan system being scrapped, he has to make sure that he has quantity as well as quality signed up by the end of the transfer window. So far so good, but at the end of the day it's how he blends them into a team that will define him as a manager. I must admit that I'm starting to look forward to the new season, even though I know it's going to be an uphill struggle.

Where possible teams like us will always delay summer transfers as long as we can. makes no sense paying a players wages from today when he is on a beach for next few weeks

Aren't we getting close to pre season training? You need as many of the team back as possible for that.

Agree, however, who knows, we might surprise a few - there is always a joker in the pack. If Irvine and Kelly get the organisation right, we might have half a chance - momentum and confidence are everything in this league.

Who knows, before Christmas, there might be many on here affectionately referring to him as 'Coyley' !?!?

This is a serious question for all of you staying away this season.

If we do well this season and are on the verge of going up, will you return?

We could win the league by 20 points and I wouldn't watch a game of it.

Oh come on guys....a bit of positivity PLEASE!! How else are we going to beat bigger and more ambitious clubs to these signings. We either;

A) want good players who will demand longish, expensive contracts or

B) we want average / crap players who will accept 1yr contracts on low pay.

If, as reported we are about to sign Stokes, Hendrie, Toral, Graham and Powell in a week then I say that's bloody great and an indication that we are still going to be competitive.

Mani--oh dear! In all this positivity you are forgetting the other side of the Venky coin---who will be leaving? the worst or the best?

Smoke and mirrors mate.

I said that and got pulled up for it. I think many people underestimate the way many of those boycotting feel.

And having said elsewhere that I might be tempted by Norwich away as a one off, I've just checked next year's diary and found I have to be in clitheroe that weekend as I'm appearing in a play

At the end of the day we could have:

IN: Stokes, Graham,(Midfelder, think its Toral,) Hendrie,

Out: Delfouneso, Williamsson, Brown, Jackson, Taylor, Kilgallon,

Happy with that ?

Also think there is a good chance getting Powell.

Rovers starts off season with Norwich at home, then Wigan away...

Dreaming.

This sudden burst of optimism from you guys is making me nervous, we've only signed 2 players and Hanley could well be off. I'd reign in that sort of talk until it's the end of the transfer window. Could well see Marsh, Duffy and Hanley gone...

All speculation though. The foundations aren't in place for us to be successful, because of the Venky's. Loans and free signings alone (coupled with the sales of your best players) don't tend to win promotion and so I struggle to see how we'll be near the top unless some miracle happens. Yes it looks like our transfer business might not be too bad in the grand scheme of things (in comparison to Bowyer's horror dealings last summer), but there's a long way to go yet. Lose Hanley or someone and the wheels could easily fall off. Personally, I can't financially support the tyrannical regime, but I was planning on attending some away games, so that won't change.

Conversely, if we are languishing in the bottom towards the end of the season, Venky's continue to eff up and the club is saddled with even more debt, would you join in the protests?

That's just churlish and stubborn to the point of cutting off your nose to spite your face

If that were to happen all credit would be deserved; however I think your nose is quite safe
