That's just churlish and stubborn to the point of cutting off your nose to spite your face

If that were to happen all credit would be deserved; however I think your nose is quite safe

Maybe - but its now at the point where this isn't my football club. I'd genuinely rather go into the conference North rather than support Venkys. I despise them with every bone in my body and there is no way they can come back from this. I appreciate some people have different views - and I can respect them, but as far as i'm concerned every penny spent on Blackburn Rovers FC is money directly to Venkys saying they have your support.

He's trying to recruit quite well so fair play to him and he does come across as a hardworking type gaffer so hopefully that transmits to the team. Seriously worried how he'll approach games and tactics though, we aren't good enough nor fit enough for gung ho every week.

Be sure that someone or two will be off to pay for this though so the hysteria needs to calm until we see the starting line up after the window closes. If no one pitches up the money for Hanley then they'll offski Marshall to Fulham or somewhere Tom Cairney style then Big Grant will go next window.

They've played games with us since they arrived so no reason to suspect they won't now.

All speculation though. The foundations aren't in place for us to be successful, because of the Venky's. Loans and free signings alone (coupled with the sales of your best players) don't tend to win promotion and so I struggle to see how we'll be near the top unless some miracle happens. Yes it looks like our transfer business might not be too bad in the grand scheme of things (in comparison to Bowyer's horror dealings last summer), but there's a long way to go yet. Lose Hanley or someone and the wheels could easily fall off. Personally, I can't financially support the tyrannical regime, but I was planning on attending some away games, so that won't change.

Conversely, if we are languishing in the bottom towards the end of the season, Venky's continue to eff up and the club is saddled with even more debt, would you join in the protests?

No one hardly because these type of posters pop up at this time of year then again in the next transfer window beating the drum and having little digs. Amazingly they disappear in the grind of the season when everyone else is debating what's going on only for the odd one to appear again if we win 3 on the bounce.

Happens every year. Propaganda.

Aren't we getting close to pre season training? You need as many of the team back as possible for that.

In an ideal world you would. But when guys are on 10k to 20k per week and you are 100 million in debt, every week you can delay can be huge savings.

Its always the big teams that do their business early

Another reason for delaying signing players who've contracts have expired is that the player can claim severance pay if he runs his contract out. Happens a lot in league 1 & 2 especially. Players out of contract will train with a team for months before actually signing a contract so they can save their new club 2 months wages and not be out of pocket themselves.

Not posted for a while, been busy with a new baby in our house but thought i'd post my thoughts on current transfers and ones that might happen:

Stokes - we could and already have done a heck of a lot worse than this guy. My only conern would be that he has perhaps spent too long in Scotland and will not be able to adjust to the more demanding Championship standard of football.lets face it, most SPL sides would be mid table in league one at best. Still I remain cautiously optimistic with this one.

Hendire - never heard of him prior to signing on loan but I am concerned that Bilic who is such a fine manager does not rate him at all and was not even involved in the loan deal. I am not expecting anything other than a similar standard to young Todd Kane that we had a couple of years ago, and that kid struggled. Getting Spurr to sign on as well is important,

As for the potential signings, Nick Powell is someone I would like to give a chance to, a player who has lost his way, still very young at 22 and has worked with the manager previously. Rovers used to have a fine reputation of building up players that had lost their way so I'd be willing to give him a go.

Danny Graham is a must buy, as we have already established. He impressed me a lot last season with his hold up play and he seemed to genuinley enjoy himself during the loan spell. I appreciate him considering his options ahead of his next move because his time at Sunderland was so bad, his next one needs to be right otherwise now that he has hit 30. Would be a real coup to get him in.

Liam Feeney is a player I really didn't take to during his loan spell a couple of years ago and would be disapointed if he comes in. I appreciate the need for more pace on the flanks but surely there are better options than a player who was part of a Bolton team that went down with a whimper. I know he went to Ipswich on loan at the end of the season but from what I have read he didn't exactly get the pulses racing there.

Don't know anything about Toral, but you have to be decent to be on the books at Arsenal i guess but again without knowing anything about the kid it's hard to judge.

We certainly still need a centre half, right back and a third striker providing Graham signs up, and probably a few more on top of that. Busy times ahead hopefully.

players maybe ...coyle after what he said over kean and our club ...NEVER

I admire the doggedness of your convictions Abbey but personally I'd be happy to wipe the slate clean if he could get us out of this league. I would with anyone with the exceptions of Kean, Anderson and the Raos.

Oh and the three addled sh**s from right to left...

Much talk about Leicester's bids for Michael Keane; the latest - supposedly £15M - turned down by the Dingles

We could have had him for £1M after his loan spell; he was outstanding during his time at Rovers. We didn't take the chance and the rest - as they say - is history

Why do I raise this? Well with much talk about Grant going all I'd say is there ARE always other options out there. It just needs a sharp eye for quality and some shrewd dealing

If you want another example here's one word "Vardy"

Perhaps the silver lining in that is the Venkys will see what their dilly dallying has cost em.

Ha, they won't have a clue who he is.

He certainly wasn't outstanding as well, I thought he was pretty average when he was here. Like Jones though was worth a contract when you consider some of the crap we've signed over the years.

From Kamy

A couple of national papers claiming that Graham has opted to sign for Rovers. 3 year deal. Huge boost for us if true.

That would be great in my book, certainly did not expect it to happen, Ill get excited AFTER it has.

We could win the league by 20 points and I wouldn't watch a game of it.

Help me understand, if you feel this way why you still bother posting.

Because, as a Blackburn Rovers fan, I love the club. I check twitter, BRFCC and online most days as the interest in the club will never fade.

However, as a fan of Blackburn Rovers, I feel the best way to try and fight for the future of the club is to not show support to the Venkys tenure. It may well have zero effect and I appreciate that, however in my mind spending money on BRFC is a way of showing support to the current regime, something I cannot do. I believe the current management (everybody Coyle upwards) are no longer working in Blackburn Rovers best interests and the club will decline further whilst they are in positions of power.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rover:

Because it doesn't mean you don't care!!!! It just means you can't stand the downright awfulness of everything, and you can't any longer see past how disastrous Venkys ownership has been. Are we really going to give them credit for getting us back to where we should have been capable of remaining if they hadn't got their hands on our club? You see if by some chance we were to win the league you can bet Venkys or whoever would then do something to mess it up. and the chances of our getting into the top half of the table let alone promoted are remote to say the least.

Thanks for that. I don't get it but you are entitled to do as you wish. To me it's like keeping a picture of an ex who ran off with your best friend and then taking time to look at the picture everyday. Hope they buggar off so your bum can again strain a seat.at Ewood.

Gumboots, I don't want to put you in any position , but what is the feedback, if any, your daughter gets back about the Rovers situation.

I don't want to put you in a situation that might compromise your daughter..... but?

This is a serious question for all of you staying away this season.

If we do well this season and are on the verge of going up, will you return?

If I'm boycotting in boycotting, so no.

Serious question, do you think we'll be on the verge of going up?
