Although Januzaj hasn't set the world on fire please don't mention name. No way players like him would join any Championship side.

Why not? Cant get a game at United? Mourinho will buy some new strikers and will loan him out.

Abbey and a few others are the only ones not wearing blinkers, some on here can talk the talk but can't walk the walk, a lot are gullible who seem to have memories like goldfish including chaddy

The scales have dropped from my eyes! Thank you, thank you sooooo much for showing me the light with your insight. Without you and 'Abs' we would all surely be stumbling around in a desert of confusion and befuddlement.

Pfft.

People can think as they like, that's life, everyone has different opinions. Now, if we could all just tolerate those opinions which are different from our own...

After his performances at euro's I wouldn't be surprised if Corry Evans attracted some attention too , and centre is midfield is the one area we do have a lot of cover (if not much quality) Lowe Lenighan Akpan Byrne and Guthrie maybe Evans will be sacrificed to bring in reinforcements in other areas and relieve the pressure to sell more key players like Hanley Duffy Marshall

I'd happily sacrifice Evans above other potential leavers, plenty of cover, and Lenighan was much better in that position when he was given the opportunity.

Always thought Evans has more in his locker than he's often shown so if he's going to grow into a decent player at last then I'd rather we benefit. Hopefully the likes of him and Duffy will come back with the bit between their teeth and high on confidence and it rubs off on others.

Agree though, wouldn't be surprised to see him shunted out for £££.

Was interesting listening to Coyles interview about the Graham signing.. wants a creative attacking midfielder next and has his eye on the kid, from the sounds of it I reckon it might be Roberts. Talks of goals from more players in the team and praises DG lots...

Have to admit i've genuinely liked listening to coyle in these interviews so far, far more than any other manager we've had since maybe Souey, obviously im not comparing the two ability wise(just yet  ) but his passion and love for football shines through ahead of anything else, he also speaks clearly, sincerely and doesn't mince his words.

Going off what I saw, I thought Lennihan was massively overrated. Not a bad player but very ordinary. Evans thrived under Lambert and we missed him when injured.

I think Coyle has done very well to this point. He is obviously working hard, wants to be here and is able to get his new signings to buy into his philosophy. This is something I feel Lambert struggled with; I never felt the players wanted to please him. I think he recognised this and this may have been a factor (amongst others) in why he left.

Coyle slightly reminds me of Bowyer in that the squad will like him and want to work for him. Irvine and Kelly are going to be crucial here. I think Bowyer would have been much better with these two on board. A couple of weeks ago, I had us down as relegation certainties; now I am more positive.

There is a huge amount of in fighting on this board at the present time. Life has taught me to be positive. The people renewing next year are generally happy and positive whilst some on here are angry, bitter (with good reason) and are painting themselves in a corner somewhat. No one wants Venkys's here but they are here and they aren't going away. I choose positivity!

Im sure eventually one of us will learn how to spell Darraghs name correctly:)

Strange how 2 people who watch the same things can have markedly opposite views. I wouldn't have offered Evans a new contract after his injury record, and inability to make a difference when in the team. Much sooner give Darragh the chance to prove himself, knowing Lowe can do the same sideways passing and pointing at opposition players he wants someone else to mark, a technique brought to the club by Keef, should Lenihan have a downturn in form

At the moment, we have a very tidy eleven:

Steele

Marshall, Hanley, Duffy, Hendre

Bennett, Evans, Lenihan, Conway

Graham, Stokes

Subs/Others:

Raya, Ward, Lowe, Henley, Akpan, Guthrie.

Ones to watch:

Mahoney, Tomlinson, Nyambe, Wharton, Doyle.

So we're light at left back and in the attacking department (midfield and up front). We need to see how signings go and if any of the youngsters step up, but the removal of deadwood leaves me cautiously optimistic of a reasonable season (midtable maybe?)

Big lack of pace in that 11. I think pace counts for so much in this league and looking at that there's a distinct lack of it.

Agreed actually. Hopefully that will come in the form of any future signings. When Bennett is the fastest, something needs doing :P
