beanie Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Do we not need to wait until the 1st to officially announce Byrne as his loan to the Dutch side runs until then?
Backroom Tom Posted June 25, 2016 Backroom Posted June 25, 2016 Coyle is working backwards through previous managers signings. Next is the Appleton signing DJ Campbell followed by Danny Murphy
deryck guyler's spoon Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 this is the article i was referring to, looks like its only a matter of time before Byrne's also anounced jeeez, why do footballers have such awful taste when it comes to buying t-shirts(and clothes in general) You should see the state of Aussie Rules players. They look like surfing vagrants.
Gav Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Duff, Dunn, Jansen etc. were in our relegation side. What relevance is there in a single player being part of a poor side? Non of those players got relegated to the third division! But we're talking about Feeney, you said he'd impressed at Bolton, he never impressed here, and was awful at Bolton by all accounts and they went down with 25 points less than us last season, they must have been absolute bobbins! But anyway, no point arguing about it Pedro, we'll soon find out how good he is and I hope you're right.
Swanson Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Is Byrne confirmed? LT writes about him like he is.
beanie Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Is Byrne confirmed? LT writes about him like he is. Everything is done I think just have to wait till the international loan runs out on the 1st to make it official.
Al Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Have you read this Feeney? You are not wanted! Look what happened to the last one who was not wanted, Keith Andrews. It could happen to you too.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Depends whether Feeney is considered by coyle to be a first 11 player or a squad filler. If it is the former then it's a crap signing that won't improve our first eleven one jot. If the latter then he would be in the Williamson category - may come in and do a job here and there but nothing to get remotely excited about. In fact I really hope he doesn't detract from the progress of Mahoney.

Al Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Let's hope not the fans embarrassed themselves enough with that episode! He should never have signed (Andrews). He knew before he came that the fans did not want him.
chaddyrovers Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 Its looking like Marshall will play right back this coming season. So we will have Conway, Bennett, Feeney and Mahoney as winger options
JBiz Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Not a single left-winger at the club? We've struggled with left footers for time. Cairney and Olsson the last two. I think Conway tends to play left though? Either way it's a glaring omission to have no left footed wide players!
chaddyrovers Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 Not a single left-winger at the club? Conway prefers playing left wing.. Mahoney is left footed but very good with the right.
donnermeat Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 this is the article i was referring tohttp://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14579663.Three_in__two_to_follow____so_what_s_next_on_Blackburn_Rovers_boss_Owen_Coyle_s_shopping_list_/?ref=mr&lp=1 looks like its only a matter of time before Byrne's also anounced jeeez, why do footballers have such awful taste when it comes to buying t-shirts(and clothes in general) About £400 that t-shirt too!
Neal Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Feeney is pretty average but much better than Taylor in my view Christ, many are better than Taylor, lad worked hard but not championship standard at all. For me, Feeney doesnt excite me at all but given he's probably not on big wages and given he managed to get himself 6 league goals last season then i'm not bothered if he's joining as a SQUAD player. Only a sqaud player though.
47er Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Duff, Dunn, Jansen etc. were in our relegation side. What relevance is there in a single player being part of a poor side? Shows what a dire mess we are in then. If we were relegated with those 3 where does your optimism come from? We have nobody anywhere near that standard now. Let's hope not the fans embarrassed themselves enough with that episode! We judged him on his merits!
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Let's hope not the fans embarrassed themselves enough with that episode! Not really. He was a shocker.
Neal Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Just read that LT article. Cant say i'm impressed with the squad yet, too much imbalance. Too many centre mids and not enough quality, not enough forwards (particularly with pace) and not enough quality at full back. The keeper is an absolute dogger aswell. Some squad trimming needs doing too, O'Sullivan needs to leave. Bringing in Powell would be a priority for me aswell. With no money to spend we need players with potential that can be assets for us. Powell can also play a variety of positions.
T J Hooker Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 About £400 that t-shirt too! exactly, I think they just pick the most expensive thing on the rack believing that that a high price and designer label means its good.
Amo Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Conway prefers playing left wing.. Mahoney is left footed but very good with the right. Conway is sloooow and naturally right-footed.
bob fleming Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 About £400 that t-shirt too! For something that looks like it should be included in a "My First Magic Tricks" gift box that's an absolute steal.
