I see the united u21 lad Ashley fletchers contract running out and Leeds made an offer. Seen him a few times. He's quick and looked like he could develop into a top player. He stood out as much as rashford. Them two were awesome granted at youth level but I would certainly be enquiring if I was oc. As for the jack Byrne song surly someone can cum up with a version of disco inferno

Very average career and at 29 he isn't going to get better.

I would look to let Guthrie go. Akpan is a ok player. but we could do better.

Agree wit letting Guthrie go, too injury prone. Akpan kept as a squaddie but Lenihan and Evans as our first choice centre midfield simply isn't good enough.

Id like to see him regain his earlier form, he was a class above the rest of our other centre mids when he first came i thought, he and evans in the centre and playing at their best should uld be decent. But for whatever reason, evans doesnt have any consistency with us and Guthrie's injurys seem to have taken their toll on him.

Looking at the squad it's still very short of quality. Only players you can rely on to produce quality more often than not are Marshall Conway Duffy Hanley and Graham. Any chance of doing well needs at least double this in the squad and even to avoid relegation i feel a couple more top quality (for championship) may be needed - especially if any of those mentioned are sold.

Guthrie did show a few glimpses when he fist arrived but quickly faded, he's always been made of glass though and I think he was a bit of a panic signing seeing as we were so low on anything decent last summer.

The most annoying thing about him though is he does have ability but seems a right shirker when the going gets tough. Maybe though if he gets fit a more attack minded manager might get something out of him.

We haven't had a gaffer since Hughes who tried to create genuine balance in the starting 11 and proper round pegs for round holes back up I don't think.

Even Big Sam lost the plot with RB's and LB. Really does my nut in that, horses for courses first then squad men second.

He's just another inconsistent player who has a bit of pace as his main attribute but not much else that's why he's been shunted about all his career. One good game in 4 or 5 type.

Strange how he's ended up here on a 2 yr deal at this stage of his career. Or is it ........
