Commondore Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 ...and Gally with two assists and one goal so far.
chor808 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 not sure if it has been posted before however https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/oct/19/nottingham-forest-owner-hasawi-salary-player-bonuses shame on you FA and EFL
JHRover Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Sounds like Kenny Jackett is in talks to be the next Rotherham manager. Would be a strong choice for them. Knows how to organise teams and work to small budgets. Did very well with Millwall in this league with little money. Also has an excellent record in League One so would be well placed to get them back up if they do go back down. Someone I would have been happy with at Rovers, especially if we end up getting relegated.
tomphil Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Jacket seems a bit more of a straight talker in the Lambert mould unlike motorgob. It's dour but sometimes refreshing, nowt worse than constant spiel.
blue kiwi Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 bloody burton winning last night v brum, just shows this league is bonkers at times.
chor808 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Wolves fire manager http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37765308
1864roverite Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 wigon fire Caldwell rovers continue to dither
had.e.nuff Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 only 2 of the bottom 9 have not changed managers ,i bet we will give him 2 more windows to get his own players in.
Backroom Tom Posted October 25, 2016 Backroom Posted October 25, 2016 If it wasn't slim pickings before it is now! Not that we'll sack Clownpants
1arC Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Not too sure it there is any mileage in it, but Allardyce has been mentioned as a candidate for Wolves
G Somerset Rover Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Pretty much every club around us bar Forest have potted their manager, yet not a murmur on Coyle. Mr safe as houses.
davulsukur Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Forest are about to be taken over (apparently) so their manager will only get sacked, and he will get sacked, once the take over is complete.
JHRover Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 wigon fire Caldwell rovers continue to dither Doubt there's much dithering going on. It will very much be business as usual down at Ewood. Cheston might be slightly concerned by our league position but then again what does he know about football? He'll be occupying himself with sorting out over the top stewarding for Saturday and wondering how many away tickets will get sold now Wolves have changed manager. At Rovers we have a situation where the manager of the team isn't judged by results. Results are irrelevant, both in getting the job initially and then in keeping the job. I don't think it matters one iota whether we're bottom or mid-table. The manager needs to keep quiet, accept the hand he is dealt, sign players that suit the owners agenda, and most importantly put up with anyone being sold at any given moment with no money reinvested. Those who aren't happy with the arrangement, see Lambert and Appleton, and who want to bring about much needed change in the way business is done, don't last very long at all.
Husky Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Just out of interest. Does anyone still watch the Championship football show on Channel 5?
donnermeat Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 When we lose (and sometimes when we draw) I don't watch it. I can't bring myself to see another team winning and celebrating when the Rovers haven't been. Bit strange I know. So I suppose in answer you your question, no, I hardly ever watch it.
had.e.nuff Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Just out of interest. Does anyone still watch the Championship football show on Channel 5? only when we win so not that often then.
jim mk2 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Low and behold, Wolves want to talk to Sam Allardyce for the manager's job - as predicted by yours truly and a few others. Nigel Pearson has been interviewed and Paul Lambert is the frame too.
