Norbert Rassragr Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 So Sam might join a team that's said to be run by super agent Mendes. Has he forgotten how he did at the last agent run club in 2010, or is he after a kickback?
Backroom DE. Posted October 29, 2016 Backroom Posted October 29, 2016 Not sure Allardyce would so quickly drop into the Championship. Not when Moyes is so vulnerable at Sunderland, anyway. Could be a very quick route back into the PL for him, there. Temporarily, perhaps, but even if they did go down they'd have a better base to build from than Wolves do at the moment, imo.
davulsukur Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Wigan have appointed Warren Joyce as manager. Rumoured to be close to the Rovers gig before agents shoved Coyle through the door.
JHRover Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Things getting interesting down at the bottom. Rovers the only club keeping faith with their manager who continues to deliver poor results. Cardiff managed by the man we inexplicably overlooked in the summer who would like nothing more than to prove us wrong. Wolves, just above us in the table, are about to get Lambert who we forced out and even some Rovers fans were glad to see the back of. Wigan have just appointed Warren Joyce who was a strong contender for our job in the summer before Coyle got it. Forest are being taken over by an American businessman so expect their manager to get the chop in the near future. Rotherham have made a very decent appointment in Jackett who will probably deliver an upturn in results. If they go down he'll have them ready for a promotion push next season. Meanwhile the odd one out among the group is Rovers. Same owners, same problems, same manager, same excuses as day one and nothing is being done to sort it out.

Venkys will never learn or care. One day they will have to leave but how long and with Rovers in what state? I wonder what would happen in the event of a boardroom coup? Let's say Cheston stopped speaking to Venkys (assuming he even does) or their advisors. Refused to relinquish his role when sacked. How would that play out? Could it force Venkys' hand or would they just get Pasha to send the police round? Just imagine a sit-in. He'd be a hero. I'd certainly help bring him food and provisions - despite his antics to date. The publicity would be incredible and the embarrassment for Venkys humiliating. Seneca could work with the administrators after a Venkys tried to wind us up out of spite. But wait, they wouldn't do that to their baby so that's all good. Oh and then I woke up. #venkysout
mhead Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 If after the next 10 games the Rovers and Rotherham are well adrift: -Relegation would be a formality(our Loanees, freebies and has-beens cannot save us) -the 10 points for Administration would not matter Admin could be over in 3 months(?) to end of Season -the 'upswell' of support/sympathy would be great if we entered Admin -another Manager(say from Wycombe or Rochdale) would have time to step in 'Gordon Lee' style -5 year Golden Season-tickets/free under 11yr olds etc etc Next 10 games are until the FA Cup 3rd Round !! Lets see......
danger19_80 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Tom Cairney is an exqusitie footballer who, in better times, we'd have up there amongst the best of the Rovers
JHRover Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Rovers should be embarrassed that they pushed him out of the door to Fulham. A decision that arguably demonstrates more than any other what a shambolic laughing stock this club has become and that footballing ability is way down the list when it comes to priorities at this club. Another one who didn't want to leave this club and who was more than happy to stay but was pushed out of the door for unknown, possibly sinister reasons. Only ones laughing are Fulham as they picked him up for a bargain fee and now he's leading their play-off push. Only good part is he's now worth at least double what Venkys got for him. Unlucky for them that's £3-4 million they've missed out on through their short-sightedness and greed.
Stonesrick Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Don't know how to upload this because you need to subscribe to the Times. Article in today's sports section of the Times by Henry Winter about Norwich City owner Delia Smith. She talks about uncaring owners and quotes Portsmouth and Wolves (No mention of Rovers). There is a caption in the article, 'Who owns clubs in the top two tiers?' - We are not even mentioned in that Have we already been relegated to League One because no one gives us a hope in hell?
arbitro Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 And another one bites the dust. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11711/10647106/jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-sacked-as-qpr-boss-sky-sources
chaddyrovers Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Sherwood will probably be favourite for the QPR job now
davulsukur Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Sherwood will probably be favourite for the QPR job now Why that is, I have no idea.

Lets see...... If Venkys left I would take all that right now.It will take a while to get rid of the stain that they have made on our famous blue-and-white but it's a price worth paying. If I thought they would sell I'd feel differently but every time I hear that they are "still committed to the club" another part of the Rover in me dies.
alcd Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Why that is, I have no idea. He's best mates with Les Ferdinand
rog of the rovers Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Championship 16th Derby - Pearson sacked, McClaren in 17th QPR - Hasselbaink sacked 18th Burton - Clough 19th Wolves - Zenga sacked, Lambert in 20th Nottingham Forest - Montanier 21st Cardiff - Trollope sacked, Warnock in 22nd Wigan - Caldwell sacked 23rd Blackburn - Coyle 24th Rotherham - Stubbs sacked, Jackett in 6 of bottom 9 have replaced their managers, and its only 7th November! That said, Coyle is taking us down!

That said, Coyle is taking us down! Worth bearing in mind that one of those, Burton, are witnessing a miracle even to be in this league and haven't been in the drop zone all season. Although they are in the bottom 7 or 8 they are having an exceptional season. Meanwhile Forest are almost as dysfunctional as ourselves. They are in the midst of a prolonged take over with their owner losing interest and he's admitted he's given up and is selling them. We can be sure that as soon as that takeover is done, rumoured to be very soon, that their new owners will fire Montanier and bring in a new manager themselves. We're the only club that has consistently occupied a bottom 3 position, has been on course since the first game humiliation against Norwich to go down, hasn't shown anywhere near the consistency needed to survive, and yet has had the same manager throughout the season.
chaddyrovers Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Swindon Town appointed Tim Sherwood as director of football Also QPR Set to appoint Ian Holloway as their next head coach
blue kiwi Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 swindon for tim,who was it who took them to the premier hoddle?
tomphil Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 An odd one with Bolton today as I thought Davies wrote off most of the debts and sold it for a quid yet the tv said they were still 200 mill in the red ? Anyway crap away following from them today seeing as they are supposed to be the big fish in that division. Noticed the many Rovers obsessed amongst them on w##nkerways have a nice thread a few pages long about us and Venkys. Most wishing us doom and giving it large about having bigger gates at the min. They'll disappear like water down a drain if they stay in that division another year or two, never learn some big gobs do they. Muppets.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Saudis supposedly looking at Bolton takeover
tomphil Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 They won't be buying 200 mill of debt I'm sure but without it even Bolton must still be worth a tenner or so. Chorley Fc will be bigger in 20 years time
