Backroom DE. Posted December 14, 2016 Backroom Posted December 14, 2016 Well, that's a shock. Meanwhile our manager has us destined for relegation and is safe as houses.

Butty Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 From the statement Birmingham put out its pretty clear their new owners think they know better and have potted him, no doubt they'll come to regret that decision. Sign him and all his backroom staff up NOW please.
davulsukur Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Well, that's a shock. Meanwhile our manager has us destined for relegation and is safe as houses. Its a very strange, almost Venky-esq decision. 7th place, won 2-1 last night
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I'd have him in a flash Me too. Any real board of directors would be saying " Thank you God " and be on the phone to him as I speak. Of course we all know this won't happen and our muppet will be there until he's achieved his objective of relegation.
Amo Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Why do we need Rowett when we already have the outstanding candidate?
Lancaster Rover Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Why would Rowett come here? We're absolute toilet, any manager with a modicum of sense would get as far away from our toxicity as possible, Lambert saw the train wreck on the horizon and disembarked with his reputation in tact.
JBiz Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Why would Rowett come here? We are still an attractive proposition- facilities and stadium, youth set up etc - would be a proverbial god send for some managers more used to a Burnley-esq basic approach
JHRover Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Why would Rowett come here? We're absolute toilet, any manager with a modicum of sense would get as far away from our toxicity as possible, Lambert saw the train wreck on the horizon and disembarked with his reputation in tact. I suppose he isn't going to get a job much higher than mid-table or bottom half Championship. He might be keen to get straight back in. He's obviously not bothered about a big budget or normal owners after working at Brum for 2 years. If we wanted him enough we'd get him. But these crooks have no intention of even getting rid of Coyle, let alone making a sensible decision to replace him with a decent manager.
Lancaster Rover Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I think prior to this season we would have been but looking from the outside in at the dross you have to pick from and the budget you're working with/restrictions you're working under then I don't think it's still the case. As for the youth setup, we can't even afford to promote players from the youth team these days for fear of them earning a new contract.
danger19_80 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Zola to be appointed at Birmingham in the next 24 hours. Bizarre.

He wouldn't and he will have his pick of the jobs (certainly in the championship) when they become free.
USABlue Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 We should be all iver this, but we won't. Success does not fit with Venkies plans
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I'd take Rowett, but he'd never come for the reasons already stated. It's a weird decision but then you get that with all these foreign owners who live in palaces on the other side of the world, and probably rely on agents to offer advice on a sport they don't know in a country they've not been to. Zola's the red hot favourite. Nice guy, but pretty crap manager. I think there are new owners coming in, so they insist on sacking the current manager regardless. And this is League 1, but still, we can all agree Nile Ranger is a weapons grade ___. A waste of blood and organs.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-38315202
J*B Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 If Rowett even considered coming here he would be a madman. Talk about jumping out the pan into the fire. The guy has done wonders at Birmingham and deserves a chance at a decent club.
Mike Graham Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Rovers, Wigan and Rotherham for the chop. Some new away grounds next season for what remains of the fan base.
ABBEY Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Rovers, Wigan and Rotherham for the chop. Some new away grounds next season for what remains of the fan base. Only if the parasite scum have gone
Stuart Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Zola to be appointed at Birmingham in the next 24 hours. Bizarre. Maybe Rowett will become the next Dyche after the same thing happened to him.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 We can all see that survival is eminently doable this season if the right decisions are taken now. Get rid of Coyle and appoint Rowett and we'd be in with a fighting chance. Will it happen ? Will it ---- ! They probably don't even know where we are in the league, that we lost at Preston, that we lost last night.

They probably don't even know where we are in the league, that we lost at Preston, that we lost last night. If Barrys phone no is still the same he'll know by now as well as my feelings on Boyle The way he was appointed though there's clearly another agenda at play as always and iv'e said before they'll not pot him till after whatever deeds are to be done in the window. If for no other reason than if they want change they'll have to get rid of someone so they can use the money to change staff yet again, not forgetting the %%% involved in that.
McClarky Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Looks like Birmingham are joining the dysfunctional league. To be fair they were probably in it already but what a poor decision it is to get rid of An established manager doing well and replace with a failed show pony. Just heard their fans n SSN trying to make the best of it, we know how that ends don't we.
arbitro Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Interesting article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4034656/Cardiff-Malky-Mackay-10m-transfer-plot-ahead-appointment-Scottish-FA.html
Stuart Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 The game is run by agents and when it goes wrong they hang it around the manager's neck. Then when you look at what happened to Mike Newell it's no wonder they put their head in the noose in the first place. The FA and the PL should be doing more to take back control of football. If that means unsubscribing from UEFA / FIFA then so be it.
AggyBlue Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 The FA and the PL should be doing more to take back control of football. If that means unsubscribing from UEFA / FIFA then so be it. That would be great. We could bring back tackling, the proper offside rule. sling out the cheats and ban agents, just for starters.
