No need to go searching for any more complicated explanations. Why won't they sack him? Surely the wage saved is a false economy compared to relegation? Nothing complicated about that decision.

broadsword Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 It's not over? We've spent all of two weeks outside the drop zone. We have the most appalling manager, the squad is unfit, there's no consistency or logic in team selections, we continuously ship goals. But don't worry lads, it's not over. We can still get out of it. Just because we're bloody awful and often lose, that's no reason to think we could go down. And the good news doesn't end there, Because at least we don't have that silly Paul lambert as manager any more. I mean, just look where wolves are right now. Oh

Its over sadly Or we could beat Burton, be two points behind them with two games in hand. Let's see what fortune, not Coyle, brings us.

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I didn't give him a chance. He's a shit bag, who in their right minds employs a shit bag ?

It's literally Kean all over again.

At what point are we allowed a degree of intellect and experience to say "this is the wrong thing to do - he doesn't deserve a chance"? Without idiots saying "we can't judge ABC until XYZ"?? Next time? The time after that? Or the time after that? It would be good if we could, just ocne, BEFORE people start talking about the power of hindsight like it's the most impossible thing in the world to predict, be allowed judge another wrong decision detrimental to BRFC. No more effing chances.

No more effing chances. As soon as he was appointed I said he would relegate us. I'm not blessed with second sight, it was so bleeding obvious it was untrue. A good side and a bad manager might just survive, a bad side and a good manager might also just survive. A bad side and a bad manager - relegation is more or less a certainty. It's as simple as that.
Backroom DE. Posted February 18, 2017 Backroom Posted February 18, 2017 I remember a few people having a go at me in the Coyle thread back in the summer for saying I would not give Coyle a chance. Pretty much the same people who are now saying we can still stay up, despite having only spent 17 days of this season out of the relegation zone. Come on. If you don't want to join the real world then that's fine, I understand, but don't try to convince me that water isn't wet.
Parsonblue Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 2 hours ago, RevidgeBlue said: It's far from over. We're only one win shy of Bristol City and Burton might lose their midweek game which would mean they're five points ahead having played two games more. I do agree if we stick with Coyle he'll take us down though. Probably with games to spare. The problem Rev is that he should have gone after the Barnsley game. The fact that he is still here suggests that he won't be removed until the summer at the earliest. I'm not convinced that anyone could turn this around now but Coyle certainly can't on what we have seen thus far. It's a very narrow path to survival now - the next four League games - Burton, Derby, Wigan and Cardiff will surely decide our fate. From those games we need nothing less than ten points and we must beat Burton and Wigan. Sadly, it would appear Senior is in charge of everything but has no power to do anything. Once we are back in the Third Division it will be a long road back no matter who owns the club and as the present clowns seem intent on staying we may well fall into the bottom division for the first time in our history.

Just so you can say you called it at the start?
DanielMB Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 It defies all logic that Coyle is still our manager.

It's not about being right but folk like you need to stop telling people they are wrong (when they aren't) as some kind of moral high ground, and as a means to shout people down and divide the fan base. The next decision they take could be crucial to the future of this club. If it's the wrong one, the fans need to unite, get off their backsides and act. People need to learn (they haven't up to yet) and not say "give em a chance FFS".
