He was considerably cheaper than Warwick or presumably any other decent alternative.

No need to go searching for any more complicated explanations.

Why won't they sack him? Surely the wage saved is a false economy compared to relegation? Nothing complicated about that decision.

It's not over?

We've spent all of two weeks outside the drop zone. We have the most appalling manager, the squad is unfit, there's no consistency or logic in team selections, we continuously ship goals.

But don't worry lads, it's not over. We can still get out of it. Just because we're bloody awful and often lose, that's no reason to think we could go down.

And the good news doesn't end there, Because  at least we don't have that silly Paul lambert as manager any more. I mean, just look where wolves are right now.

Oh

Even the most optimistic of Rovers' fans can surely acknowledge that we're goosed this season.

We arent at all

But its going to be very hard to get out of the bottom 3 due to the manager, tactics used and players fitness

Burton play again midweek as well they could be 8 points ahead of us before we even play them, meanwhile we are stuck with Coyle and any win seems beyond us.

Its over sadly

Or we could beat Burton, be two points behind them with two games in hand. Let's see what fortune, not Coyle, brings us.

You know you're in trouble when the most optimistic are trusting to luck over any confidence in the manager - with no prospect of him ever being potted.

It's literally Kean all over again.

We all said this. We give him a chance but simply not good enough at this level.

The trouble is, we all knew he would relegate us but some folk said "give him a chance".

A chance to prove he would relegate us!! Let that sink in.

At what point are we allowed a degree of intellect and experience to say "this is the wrong thing to do - he doesn't deserve a chance"? Without idiots saying "we can't judge ABC until XYZ"??

Next time? The time after that? Or the time after that?

It would be good if we could, just ocne, BEFORE people start talking about the power of hindsight like it's the most impossible thing in the world to predict, be allowed judge another wrong decision detrimental to BRFC.

No more effing chances.

imagine coming out with this five ago

"or we could win at spurs,  stay up and win fa  cup next year"

After 6 years, it's not optimism,  it's delusion

Best players sold, team unfit, shipping goals for fun, manager hopeless, Been bottom 3 all season give or take.

Wake up

As soon as he was appointed I said he would relegate us. I'm not blessed with second sight, it was so bleeding obvious it was untrue. A good side and a bad manager might just survive, a bad side and a good manager might also just survive. A bad side and a bad manager - relegation is more or less  a certainty. It's as simple as that.

I remember a few people having a go at me in the Coyle thread back in the summer for saying I would not give Coyle a chance. Pretty much the same people who are now saying we can still stay up, despite having only spent 17 days of this season out of the relegation zone. Come on. If you don't want to join the real world then that's fine, I understand, but don't try to convince me that water isn't wet.

It's far from over. We're only one win shy of Bristol City and Burton might lose their midweek game which would mean they're five points ahead having played two games more.

I do agree if we stick with Coyle he'll take us down though. Probably with games to spare.

The problem Rev is that he should have gone after the Barnsley game.  The fact that he is still here suggests that he won't be removed until the summer at the earliest.  I'm not convinced that anyone could turn this around now but Coyle certainly can't on what we have seen thus far.  It's a very narrow path to survival now - the next four League games - Burton, Derby, Wigan and Cardiff will surely decide our fate.  From those games we need nothing less than ten points and we must beat Burton and Wigan.  Sadly, it would appear Senior is in charge of everything but has no power to do anything.  Once we are back in the Third Division it will be a long road back no matter who owns the club and as the present clowns seem intent on staying we may well fall into the bottom division for the first time in our history.

Judge away. Then what? Is everyone agreeing he's shyte going to make our owners sack him? If not then what is the point in being 'right'? Just so you can say you called it at the start?

It defies all logic that Coyle is still our manager.

Venkys defy logic.

A new manager could produce the honeymoon period that sometimes happens but even if Coyle went Monday it would take ages to get a new man in.

It's not about being right but folk like you need to stop telling people they are wrong (when they aren't) as some kind of moral high ground, and as a means to shout people down and divide the fan base.

The next decision they take could be crucial to the future of this club. If it's the wrong one, the fans need to unite, get off their backsides and act.

People need to learn (they haven't up to yet) and not say "give em a chance FFS".
