Never mind. It's all cyclical. In another 20 to 30 years we'll have found another Jack and we will be back in our rightful place in the Premiership.

I won't be alive of course but the thought keeps me going......

I think you are being a little optimistic there 47er.  I think it was an 80 year gap between Cotton and Walker - the last two locals who could afford to transform the club.  I suspect most who are reading this won't be around if we have to wait for a similar cycle.

Each to their own you know , I personally am one of those destroyed by apathy , I had a go at early protests now after 25 ish years I've simply called it a day . I can't put my money and time into it, it's not worth it

however I don't get the superfans who won't even give things a go , the 1875 protest for example , you don't miss out on much . What about this red card thing ???

Another thing that put me off going we're all the moaning voices when people did try stuff ..... your memories are short this club was great once and now you accept this and condemn those who try to fight it

Will you hold aloft a red card ? I believe your opinion carries some weight .

On another note The Championship agree in principle to finally come out of the dark ages. Ridiculous that the biggest prize in world sport is beholden to blind linesmen

You are correct, chaddy, it requires actual action. In real life. Something you have already said you will not do. So your opinion is moot.

Chaddy wouldn't even do the 1875 so don't think he'll man the trenches

The trouble is, we all knew he would relegate us but some folk said "give him a chance".

A chance to prove he would relegate us!! Let that sink in.

At what point are we allowed a degree of intellect and experience to say "this is the wrong thing to do - he doesn't deserve a chance"? Without idiots saying "we can't judge ABC until XYZ"??

Next time? The time after that? Or the time after that?

It would be good if we could, just ocne, BEFORE people start talking about the power of hindsight like it's the most impossible thing in the world to predict, be allowed judge another wrong decision detrimental to BRFC.

No more effing chances.

I can't see why you're getting irate about people who were willing to give people a chance Stuart, the fans didn't appoint him, the owners did so it was out of our control. If the owners had run a poll to decide the manager and the fans had picked Coyle I could have understood your anger.

Once Coyle had been appointed I guess you had the choice of either seeing how he did before slaughtering him or hoping we lost everything just so you could say you were right all along. But even for those fans willing to "give him a chance" that meant "see how he goes and get rid if he's not up to it" not "hang onto him until it's too late to do anything about it."

What does 'give him a chance' even mean?

I knew he'd be terrible, I knew we'd be in a relegation battle, I just had to hope that we somehow would scramble to safety.

He got a full half a season of chances from the away support, his 'chance' was extended til February at Ewood- he can't ask for more than that and he's one lucky bloke in more ways than one.

However, if people on a message board don't want to 'give him a chance' and slaughter him from day 1, so what?

Put it another way. If all those people who had said "give him a chance we've not kicked a ball yet" - in the face of others being absolutely sure that he would take us where he has - had said "enough is enough", then we should have been able to expect more support to protests.

And especially from messageboard types who are probably the most fanatic of all.

Instead it's top of the list of excuses not to get involved and instead just sit back and let the football wash over them.

I wouldn't mind so much if "get behind em" actually involved, you know, getting behind them but it doesn't, it's just a put down to try to quieten dissenting voices stopping them from enjoying the match.

The fact , that the clown was ever appointed to manage Blackburn Rovers in the first place , is a total disgrace ..

Exactly. Another poke in the eye. A world wide market to choose from and we can only find an ex-Burnley bloke with a poor recent record. There was never any logical reason to support this appointment as it was made for all the wrong reasons. As most stated immediately. The fact we are 2nd bottom tends to support that view.

It was so perverse as to appear to me to have been a deliberate act of spite.

Just cant see rovers winning at burton on friday. They have more spirit, fight and passion in their players than coyle's boys!

You're right. When it comes down to these games what's beating under the badge counts for a lot more than what's going into your bank account. As our friends down the road found out yesterday !

They will fancy it after turning Norwich over. One of the problems down with the dead legs. Everyone fancies it against you.
