Bloody nightmare, we need a quick goal from the toon to get the huge crowd going.

Oh and up the nobbers for today only.

My mistake I thought PNE were playing Wigan, Up the Forest.

He won't be too concerned about missing a penalty. He knows his career as a footballer will be defined by how he gets on running those channels.

#strikerpriorities

Running those channels and piling on the pounds thats what makes a Striker

No Dwight Gayle for the Toon TwoHats

Im tempted to put a tenner on a Newcastle victory...

Only 5/1 which is poor odds to say they're 2-0 down with Gayle out.

It's going to look pretty grim tonight at this rate, Bristol are terrible so that will be a massive result for them if they hold on.

Shows that as when we went up there any game can be winnable but being 5 points adrift isn't great for the mindset.

Should be going for a win on Tuesday, Derby on a poor run atm and 1-0 down at Villa today.

We should be going for a win in every game and think we did last night, the reality is we won't get those wins but we just have to hope we somehow scrape enough.

Personally believe we are going down but have a bit more hope than last week

Bristol beating Newcastle away doesn't make our result last night bad!!

Newcastle are just arrogant in certain games. They think they have it won before they start. Hopefully they can get a draw at least here. Bristol threw away a 3 goal lead at derby,so there is hope

Well, this wasn't in the script. Last night's draw looking increasingly like a bad result.

It was always a bad result tbf, it would only have been a good result if we were outside the relegation zone and above Burton. People suggesting it was a good result were viewing the table as a static item in which everybody around us would stay the same. It just doesn't work that way.

As I said on the match thread, I think Mowbray will have to work miracles to keep us up. It's a much bigger task than a lot of supporters seem to believe.

Did Lambert know what he was walking into? Seems to me he was sold something very different to what he got.

Knew exactly what he might be walking into hence the reason he inserted a get out clause into his contract.

I don't think he ever saw us us anything other than a short term route back into employment. Started very well but quickly seemed to fall out with the players and no doubt soon twigged it wasn't going to work out.and that he wouldn't be here beyond the end of the season. That's the reason imo he made no effort to get players who needed signing up signed up on long term deals, sold Rhodes on the last day of the window and left us in very poor shape with 12 or 13 senior pros on the books and not a single striker. He didn't care. Why should he? He knew he wasn't going to be here.

Still on the plus side for Mowbray if he starts performing badly he just needs to blame the owners in the Press on a weekly basis. Everyone will think he's brilliant then.

Sounds like it's just not dropping in for Newcastle!
