Parsonblue Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Excellent news. Stokes and Graham will be a major plus in any fight against relegation. However, we still need more, particularly if the likes of Hanley and Marshall depart, but thus far I think Coyle has made a decent start in the market. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 23, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted June 23, 2016 Yep- confirmed. http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/danny-graham-rovers-3151282.aspx Quote
windymiller7 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Great news. Thought he was excellent at the end of last season. Watching the 'strikers' take shooting practice before each game he was a class above everyone else. Much needed. Welcome (back) to Ewood Danny! Quote
FGS5635 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 1st really positive news in a good while. Really surprised we have signed him, you have to think he had plenty other offers. Quote
Stevo Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Best signing we have made in years really! Great news. 1 Quote
Gav Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Danny Graham is good championship striker that improves the side, from what I saw last season he links the play up well and can score a goal, but he's never going to be the man to fire us to the Premiership like say a Gestede or Rhodes potentially could have with better players around them. So I'm happy with the signing, I think it'll make watching us much better for the paying public, but he won't take us to another level and thats where we need to be. Quote
LDRover Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Can't argue with that - a solid signing. #venkysout Quote
dr who true blue Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Doing some great business so far great signing keep it up. Quote

Its a fair point, but for me its more what it represents that just his abilities. I thought we were in store for young loans who need games or risky cast offs like Stokes who have potential, but could easily flop. Graham isnt in that mold. You have to think he had a good few options besides rovers and he has chosen us. For once its something pretty encouraging Quote
deryck guyler's spoon Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good news. Maybe a couple more could persuade Hanley to give it another season? Quote
Mike Graham Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 A good signing. He was impressive last season. Quote
BlueMonday Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Would have been a better signing with Lambert in charge. Lets hope he's not a regular winner of Friday head tennis or he'll put on 2 stone... 5 Quote
den Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good signing, makes us into a proper team. The massive gap between striker and midfield disappeared when he played. Best striker we've had since the Yak. Agree with Parson we need more. If Graham got injured and Stokes isn't up to it, we'll still be in big trouble. 1 Quote
BlueMonday Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Just wondering if Tony Watt is still on the radar. When he's fit he would be a good, if not the main partner for Graham. 1 Quote
Commondore Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 It will be interesting to see what Graham can do with a proper partner in attack, last season he played most of his games with a disinterested Gomez as his main support. Quote
AggyBlue Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good signing but worried I only shrugged my shoulders on reading it Quote
den Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good signing but worried I only shrugged my shoulders on reading it Not good when someone as loyal as you feels this way Aggy. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted June 23, 2016 Backroom Posted June 23, 2016 Stunning signing you couldn't ask for better on a free. Some of his performances at Ewood were that of a complete centre forward last season lets hope a lesser manager can get that level from him 4 Quote
Rover_Shaun Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good signing. Sadly won't offset the hindrance of the manager Quote
A cup of beans Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Good signing but worried I only shrugged my shoulders on reading it Same # Venkys out, Coyle out 1 Quote

den Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Well done, this one surprises me. Never thought it would happen. Nor me. He could have got a better club than us at present. Quote
Gav Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Nor me. He could have got a better club than us at present. Makes you wonder why he chose us den, doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's s strange one. 1 Quote
