Can't blame him. Loads of Premier League moolah and a beautiful (or should I say bootiful) part of the world,

Still, I'm sure there's a conspiracy theory in there somewhere.

Jerome, Kentaro, SEM, Former SEM, Balaji's cat, Keans dog ? They are all in on it, someone's behind this somewhere :o:P

They should have pulled out all the stops to keep Irvine, for him to be going to Norwich when he's from round here tells us that they probably didn't even try.

As I said the other day, no conspiracy here, but the clubs worse of without him.

To be fair Gav, they are far better off than us in lots of ways. They have plenty of cash, big support and catchment area and are based in a nice part of the country. Alex Neal may well have some Scottish contacts that have made the connection between the two.

Sandy Stewart was available, is Scottish and has experience. Begs the question then why Norwich opted for Irvine rather than Stewart.

Well, Irvine was a Premiership manager in his own right not long ago. That would make him an attractive proposition for a Championship club with a young Scottish manager on the lookout for an experienced assistant.

Yes I can't disagree with any of that dgs, just think he's a loss, and if Coyles mate rolls up as expected we're back to the dream team that had Bolton, Wigan and Houston in the mire.

But lets face it, in the grand scheme of things its a minor issue really.

I don't know anything about Stewart, was he Coyle's sidekick at t'Turd when he got the Yahoos up?

Irvine has been appointed as Norwich's first team coach. Arguably a lesser position than assistant, even at little old Rovers.

He only had 22 games as manager at West Bromwich. I would love to know the sequence of events behind this particular situation but sadly that is unlikely to happen.

Well Norwich are a monied club with real prospects of being back in the top flight sooner rather than later. We aren't. I accept that this is the fault of our ridiculous owners but it surely doesn't lend any credence to daft conspiracy theories?

There's no question that moving to Norwich is a step up from Rovers, even if it's technically in a lesser role. It might sting but that's the reality of the situation, our owners have turned us into a lower-end Championship team with a pretty weak squad. Our training facilities are good but it's going to take more than that to keep personnel here if they get offers from clubs with far better prospects.

Depends what you call a daft conspiracy theory. Don't get me wrong, some are a little far-fetched but when there is tangible evidence that contradicts a number of the messages previously put out from the club, then it's no wonder people ask questions.

And I don't want to know what you and Rolf have got up to, cheers.

In this instance we do know several facts which could well prove these particular theories true. But as I said we will almost certainly never know.

Oh yeah. A coaching role at a team like Norwich or assistant to Owen Coyle. It's a no-brainer. If we had a quality manager, then maybe it would be different. I imagine Irvine's departure has been planned for a while though.
