Always liked Rubén, always had it in him to produce a moment of magic but at the same time I remember a few occasions where he tried to take on about 5 players on the edge of our box haha. £10m is way too much. There probably is some money laundering going on since the club is owned by the local state (Tatarstan), which is run by a guy who was on the board of the 6th largest oil company in Russia whilst PM of the region. He was nominated as President by Medvedev in 2010, and played a part in negotiating the annexation of Crimea.

He's always been a supremely talented player imo and I'm pleased if he has tarted up his all round game sufficiently to earn further recognition. Wish we still had him but hope his career goes from strength to strength and we get the 1.25m.

It was obvious that he had talent and would improve. That obviously wasn't what stability was about though.
