I would happy to see us sign Emnes, Ba, and Barnes (who i have watched in the MLS and does look good). I would like to see us offload the likes of Jack Byrne, Adam Henley, Stephen Hendry and Akpan. Reduce the wage bill a bit and bring in that little bit more of quality. Promote Nyambe, Mahoney, Wharton

You often sound like an agent preparing the ground ;)

However i'd actually agree with most of that although i think they'll lose Marshall and look to move Guthrie, lose Emnes then sign Barnes straight on a contract and that'll be it !

Really grates with me this stock comment.

Everyone seems to think defenders 'want' to play against Rhodes. If he didn't keep scoring goals this would be a valid point but as the defenders' first mistake is usually punished they have to be on their mettle for the full 90 minutes. No, they may not be run ragged but they can't switch off or they concede.

That said I don't think it would be a good idea to bring him back. On purely football terms he's a gift at this level but too many fans who can't wait to stick the boot in on him to be proven right. Better that divisive players aren't involved. Same goes for Lowe - who contributes significantly less that the likes of Rhodes.

He's not even our player it he can still be the source is disagreement.

The question should simply discuss the merits of retaining Emnes. Personally I think he should stay.

The board would be a dull place, if we didnt argue about players no longer playing for us. Take Bentley as an example lol

I don't know anything about Ba and not much about Barnes MLS Career.

I would send Hendrie and Byrne back to their parent clubs. sell Henley

Why one for me? Surely you mean one for Rovers?

We are after Giles Barnes and Ba that I know. Plus hopefully a right back?

But yet again the big question is will Venkys spend money and back Coyle?

No and I'm astonished you asked.

To answer the question about Ba, being half French i regularly follow French football. To be honest Ba hasn't had a long run in the RC Lens time, however, he has been highly rated and can be seen as a "Samba" mould type of a defender. He does make mistakes, but the potential is clear for everyone to see. He has been linked with Marseille who are a decent side in the middle of rebuilding.

In other news, should Emnes leave in January I would be happy with either Lyle Taylor (Watch him regularly at AFC Wimbledon being it is my local club), Kyle Lafferty, or Barnes. I do think Stokes should be given a chance though.

If not should we get out defence sorted we actually have a decent mid table team.

I think it would be a huge blow if we were to lose Emnes in January. At Newcastle Gallagher and Graham were willing but we looked a much better proposition when Emnes came on. The ball stuck with him far better and Newcastle seemed completely unable to handle his movement and trickery.

How earth can you build an understanding when everyone's coming and going every five minutes plus their obviously not fully committed to the club but only themselves and their agent.

Well I would say the team is performing well at the minute and very good team spirit which you seem to want to knock all the time.

Get behind the players

For heavens sake, Abbey. Get off Chaddy's back. Nearly every post from you recently is an anti-Chaddy post.

It's getting boring.
