JHRover Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Marshall going for £1.85m according to the agent's mouth piece. Not a chance. Telegraph reporter Sharpe now saying it's 'as you were' with regards to incoming transfers. What does that even mean? Why not just say that Venkys aren't allowing him to sign anyone?

Dunnfc Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2711077/ben-marshall-to-wolves-paul-lambert-blackburn/ Cheers Ben! Shafted again and the crook(S) looks like bringing in Barnes.
1arC Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Cheers Ben! Shafted again and the crook looks like bringing in Barnes. A very telling quote on the potential Ba signing. He will sign for nothing, but Lens will get a cut of any future sale.
JHRover Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I wonder who will do well out of this deal? Wolves - yes - get a Championship standard player at a knock down price Paul Lambert - yes - gets a player he knows well Ben Marshall - yes - gets to move to a real club on more money Ben Marshall's agent - yes - cut of the transfer deal Giles Barnes - yes - gets a route back into English football Giles Barnes' agent - yes - gets a cut of the deal Owen Coyle - yes - gets rid of another problem and might get a chance to use the dosh to sign his mates Venkys - yes - another £200k or so in the bank and another £200k saved in wages Mike Cheston - yes - helps with the balance sheet Blackburn Rovers Football Club? - almost certainly no - another player down - one of the few good enough for this division - unlikely to see the money reinvested - whilst replaced by inferior quality and almost certain relegation ahead. Edit - forgot to mention Paul Senior - who has already proved his worth to the organisation by quickly getting this sorted out and some cash in the bank - well worth it.
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 looks like the venkys are happy for us to get relegated then. RIP Rovers!! That was pretty clear in the summer.
Iceman Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 So nothing new here. Same old Venkys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
tomphil Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 He's had Barnes primed and ready since he walked through the door. Jobs for his agent pals nothing else just like the Feeney and Brown farces they were in the min the goon got his feet under the desk the club just spun it along. Barnes might offer more than Marshall short term but he'll turn out to be another dud before long. Marshalls gone off the boil but in losing him we lose our best right sided midfielder/left winger/right back all at once. There'll be a scatter gun scrabble around to use whatever they are allowed to of his 15k pwk no doubt tied up on free transfer crap on 2 year deals. Marshalls departure will take the incoming fees since Cairney was shunted to c30 million. We are being shafted good and proper again and Coyle is in it up to his bat ears.
Amo Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 That was pretty clear in the summer. That was pretty clear when they put Kean's interests before our own.
eddy11d Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 So Barnes & Ba... how inspiring. Also, not a chance Marshall's gone for 1.85 million.
Backroom Tom Posted January 26, 2017 Author Backroom Posted January 26, 2017 Great article Nicko It labels marshall a right back then says his replacement is a forward
Amo Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 So Barnes & Ba... how inspiring. Also, not a chance Marshall's gone for 1.85 million. Don't worry, the self-deception has already begun in earnest from Parson & co. Good riddance to another talented player who's lost patience with the club. I'm sure his replacement will be top-notch!
Reedy You're A Star Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 £300k tops, the £1.85m will be that plus his £15k a week (ish) wages for the 2 years of his contract. Still the gullible fools who hang on the chubby tosspots every tweet will be straight on FM to see who we should buy for a mil.
arbitro Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2711077/ben-marshall-to-wolves-paul-lambert-blackburn/ Did it not emerge recently that no fee could be agreed and Marshall would be staying with us or have I dreamt it.
chaddyrovers Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 So Barnes & Ba... how inspiring. Also, not a chance Marshall's gone for 1.85 million. This window has been crazy for prices. Villa have overspent for 2 players out of contract in the summer. 4 mil for Lansbury and 3 mil for Houllire from Barnsley. Dont know much about Ba. Barnes has played for Coyle so I can understand that one. Look good on Youtube. But its MLS and the championship is very competitive and nothing like he been playing in. We need a right back in, keeper and pacey striker still. Only expect a right back to be signed
roversfan99 Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 If they are the 2 no marks we are after signing then id rather we didnt bother. Barnes is terrible, hes not gonna play right back so hes more of a downgrade of Emnes. And Ba is a no mark who will need to settle, if our manager knew what he was doing we could get through with Greer alongside Mulgrew for a couple of weeks until Hoban is back, or alternatively sign someone who can come straight in. We need a right back, Caddis has just been released by Birmingham and I'd rather have him than see Nyambe floundering around, well out of his depth. Coyle needs to go before he signs any more crap.
JAL Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Barnes and Ba should'nt be allowed into the country never mind play for BRFC.
Backroom DE. Posted January 26, 2017 Backroom Posted January 26, 2017 Ashley @#/? Barnes and some no mark from France. Fantastic. Perhaps they'll be good enough for League 1?
JBiz Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Ashley @#/? Barnes and some no mark from France. Fantastic. Perhaps they'll be good enough for League 1? If they sign, Senior is a puppet.
davulsukur Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 What's Senior actually done then? Minimal funds available and he just shrugs his shoulders and agrees with Coyles choices from weeks ago. Edit: Jbizzle beat me to the schnizzel.
Fraserkirky Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 We should be trying to see if that other French nobody, Christopher Samba is still in England looking for a game.
Dunnfc Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Ashley @#/? Barnes and some no mark from France. Fantastic. Perhaps they'll be good enough for League 1? Wish it was Ashley Barnes as he's decent. Instead it's Giles Barnes, former league one Doncaster failure.
Backroom DE. Posted January 26, 2017 Backroom Posted January 26, 2017 Wish it was Ashley Barnes as he's decent. Instead it's Giles Barnes, former league one Doncaster failure. Shows how much I care these days... but yeah, Ashley Barnes, Giles Barnes, Barnes and Noble... we're @#/? whoever it is.
Oldgregg86 Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Rather Mahoney play than Barnes come in. Least you are Guarenteed effort and the possibility that he might get better plus have games under his belt and experience ready for league 1. Same with nyambe if the towel has already gone in. Don't be surprised to see Marshall scoring wonder goals at wolves and premier league interest this time next year
