I recall people being disparaging about Gallagher's alleged lack of ability when he was signed and he's done quite well.

I thought he signed until the end of the season. If he did the only options are paying him up and cancelling his contract or sending him on loan. It's just another example of the gross stupidity still in evidence despite what has happened in the past.
