Forgot Gomez was there, he hasn't done a lot. I think Wigan have signed quite a few today. Obertan is one of them, not the greatest but good enough for the Championship. If Wigan continue to improve we are without doubt League 1 bound.

Wasn't talking about Gomez.Sold Wildschut to Norwich for 7 million

I think losing Marshall on deadline day, bringing a couple average players, no ridiculous contracts etc - much more fun than the Rhodes @#/? of last year.

Its like choosing favourites between a root filling and a prostate exam though.

We all knew that Marshall would go today. And the money not invested.

They were some good deals to be done today and in this transfer window. But Venkys not bothered about spending money.

So that leave us short in centre midfield and right back.

Pleased about Joao signing. But we need 3 or 4 more in this window.

Very disappointed window. But we all knew this would be the case.

The disappointment of another transfer window under these rats from Pune should put a few more in the boycott bracket you'd think.

Its like Barry Whites sh*gging your wife upstairs and you're only response is to make him a brew ready for when he's finished.

Wake the uck up, its not going to get any better unless you stand up and be counted.

It must fill the players with confidence when the manager says I want more signings and gets none... terrible manager but even he knows we are screwed and can't do anything about it.

Anuradha Desai has officially left us with the worst squad in the Championship and still, some fans won't protest. See you in League One and she will be there too, they are not finished yet.

Wasting your breath, Gav. Like someone said recently, if the past six years aren't enough to spur fans into boycotting/protesting nothing will.

If anything, posts like the above will only drive the non-protesters to dig their heels in even more.

Of course the Lancashire Telegraph reporter is broadcasting it as £1.5 million. That's the figure he's been throwing about all month. He will report what Rovers tell him to report.

Lets think about it. Who does it suit to inflate the fee by a million quid?

Wolves aren't bothered. They've got their man, the real fee is probably 500k, they've won because Rovers will have backed down rather than risk losing him for nothing. If its reported as £2 million then its some free positive publicity for them as it shows they are splashing the cash and mean business.

Rovers - of course it suits them if the fee is reported as higher than it is. It helps to propagate the myth that Venkys are doing right by the club, will only sell if the money is good, don't really want to let the best players go but will reluctantly do so if the club gets good money, that they would like to reinvest but just ran out of time and FFP rules mean we can't spend anything, but Rovers have at least 'done well' and 'forced' Wolves to pay 'over the odds' for a player who didn't want to be here. Everyone's happy and Rovers have got the best outcome possible.

Now if the truth was circulated among the media boys, that Wolves had picked him up for a knock down fee of £200k or so, then not only would Rovers look even more stupid for not selling him last summer, but quite a few supporters would be asking questions such as why the club is letting a first teamer leave to a rival for such a low fee at this stage of the season given the position we are in.

One thing is certain - Wolves will have had the last laugh. Why would anyone think Rovers have had the better out of this situation? What possible reason would Wolves have to cough up £2 million now for him rather than wait a few months and get him for nothing?

Venkys have pulled a fast one again and its all unfolded exactly as the plan stated. I hope Marshall spills the beans in his interview and admits that there was never a contract offer and that Coyle has been lying all these months about this nonsensical improved deal he's been banging on about.

The club has made its position and intentions clear. Nothing more to say and no amount of propaganda will alter that now.
