Barnsley will move for Mahoney again. Mahoney wont sign a new deal here(I personally hope that he will after today performance)

Sunderland will move for Gallagher this summer

Feel like Connor going would be the final straw, especially to a team like Barnsley.

The truest reflection possible of how far we have fallen

An actually signal of intent by the owners would be attempting to sign Gallagher permanently. Would probably require us breaking our transfer record though. Can't see it happening. What kind of figure would we be looking at,10 million? Obviously irrelevant if we are in league 1

£10 million?I wouldn't pay £2 million.

Sam Gallagher is easily worth 8-10 million. He's better than Rhodes and McCormack. Factor in the academy he came from, the goals he has scored in a team that has never left the relegation places, his age and nationality. Anything less would be an absolute steel. He's got everything that lad and an extremely bright future

If I offered you the chance to bring Rhodes back, sign McCormack or keep Gallagher next season who would you pick ? Gallacher all day for me

Definatly not McCormack...

Gallagher will keep improving but i don't think he will make a top PL player.

I'd take Rhodes, i know what we'd get out of him and that's a guaranteed 20 goals.

Better than Rhodes and McCormack? Can I have a pint of what you've had please.

McCormack is a lazy player.

Rhodes is a goalscorer but doesnt give you what Gallagher does. Which is height, linking the play, some pace and better work rate.

Would be a good front two tho together.

Thought Rhodes did well on his sheff Wed debut

Gallacher has proven he can finish. He can hold up play better, he's quicker, closes down, wins more headers puts 100% in every game can play more positions all in a far weaker team with less quality around him. If Rhodes is worth 10 million gallacher has to be around that figure factoring his age, nationality. He's already in double figures. He would get you the goals Rhodes would but offer so much more to the team

Selling our best academy talent to Barnsley.

Just when you think you've hit the lowest point......

If Nixon is a big mate of Coyle's then I take that article with a pinch of salt. According to Nixon, Gally is staying because he's doing 'well under Coyle'  even though he had other opps in January. On the other hand no reason is given for Mahoney's likely departure, which is convenient. If Mahoney does want to leave, and he is a big Rovers fan by all accounts, then it's probably because Coyle won't give him a chance in the first team. No surprise really, Coyle's 'reputation' for developing academy youngsters appears to be a myth created for him, by him. It served his purpose of getting a job at a club looking to slash costs.

I'm almost of the mind that someone bidding for the likes of Feeney was just dreamt up by Nixon to make his pal look a bit better in the Vs eyes after he signed him and a lot of got stick. If Venkys had got whiff of a genuine few hundred grand for him they'd have sent a limo to take him to Cardiff whatever Coyle's feelings.

Very odd one that but it is Nicko after all.

Wharton going on loan makes sense for experience but doesn't make sense when you look at the state of us and who'd be surprised if they let him go in summer. Now Mahonney rumors ffs these are the lads you want fighting for the shirt from the bench.

Are these barstewards planning on getting rid of the local lads on purpose or something ?

Coyle OUT NOW !

Yeah a great player. Up there with the very best passers of the ball I've ever seen - Didi, Gerson, Hoddle, Gazza on a good day etc.

Shelvey at Newcastle - best passer of a ball in English football.

That good he finds himself in the Championship.. some claim that Jim.

Best completion of passes number wise for 15/16 when he was in the PL? See below:

Fàbregas   2278
Özil   1936
Surman   1894
Ramsey   1809
Whelan   1768

For the spectacular: Charlie Adam, Santi Carzola, Michael Carrick all better in my opinion.

We've got one guy who's trying to load his mates or mates players onto the books whilst he's chance because it's the easiest option and he can hide behind the financial situation to do so. (Ba,Ambrose, Barnes etc)  Then we have another guy just in who quite rightly doesn't fancy wasting contracts on them but instead of finding a couple of sensible options on loan (centre or right back, midfielder) dives in and brings his boy in from his old pals. He then prefers to sit back and plot how to fill the place with his and his mates players in summer.

The vicious circle of Venkys continues as there is still absolutely no one pushing any buttons with anything other than their own agendas at play.

Farce.

No club can function under these circumstances!

Is there any other club that has a setup like this and is it legal?
