Unsurprisingly both free!

I noticed that immediately, along with noticing the Dack deal, for a fee, has suddenly gone quiet. Here we go again?

Hmm would it be sceptical to think this deal isn't happening?

They are desperately waiting for the phone marked 'outgoings' to start ringing before they actually commit to any fees. What's the betting all these we are supposedly bidding for fall through and suddenly we are again signing a host of frees from the B list !

Still i suppose putting all these names about and making bids that aren't enough might engage a few more ST renewals before the early bird period ends. Just saying ....

it was Bristol rovers who bidded for him

He's now changed his tweet - it previously said Blackburn Rovers, now says 'a club in L1 you'd think wouldn't have any money to spend'.

If it does, great, we could mean business, but venkys history leads to concern.

Ya, lets not sign frees. Let's tell the clubs who own them that we want to pay. We don't want no frees!! No siree!

Calm down boys. It's OK to sign players on frees, if they are going to improve our squad.

We know that isn't the case, c'mon man.

Crikey you need to calm down and read the posts, I'm in no way a happy clappy everyone has to be optimistic person, I can fully understand a healthy scepticism but my point was that some of the negativity is beyond belief in my view.  The evidence so far is pointing towards optimism in the fact Mowbray looks like he'll have enough budget to get us in with a shout, I'll worry about how we do beyond that when it happens given how much crap we've had to put up with.

I'm in no way saying we should forget all the crap and say thanks to the Venkys but at the same time there isn't any point saying i'd rather we invested in this season or that season.  I'd rather we were still in the Prem but we're not and we need to accept that.  I'm looking forward to this season so much more than last because I can honestly see us bringing some half decent players in, having a chance of winning a few and have a decent manager, none of which was the case last season.  My faith is in Mowbray simple as that.

Exactly TM wouldn't have agreed to stay on if he didn't think he was capable & it would be fair to say he's embarked upon lengthy discussions with the owners regarding transfers & objectives. There's plenty to be positive about & in my view it's completely counter productive having any negative thoughts. FFS the season hasn't even started yet we will know more in a few weeks in terms of what the starting 11 may look like.

Mowbray has said that bids are in for players. What don't you understand from that statement?

Just shows how many bids really go in for players. Nobody had mentioned Bostwick, next thing you know the chairman is saying they've rejected an offer from us.

Obviously you were born in the last month.Just to recap

bowyer thinks he's in charge of a kitty- They sell Cairney without telling him

lambert thinks he's getting cash to spend- they sell Rhodes from underneath him

coyle thinks he's getting cash to spend- they sell Hanley and Duffy and pocket the cash

mowbray thinks he's got a transfer kitty- ................Bump

I would love dack to come but I think we will end up signing 6-7 frees and announce the signings at the same time as saying the dack deal has fell through. I'm optimistic we can have a decent season and at least enjoy winning a few games comfortably but we all know the script as far as venky and investment are concerned. Let's all hope the free market it fruitful and Mr mowbray knows how to get the best out of it for the good of rovers

There has been problems. I understand there's a divide between certain elements of the ownership & fanbase. It was more a comment to the present day without trawling thru this that & the other & things which have happened in the past. We are in league 1 now I've accepted that we don't have the best owners in the world I've also accepted that. The upside to that is I think we've had a lucky break with the manager we've got now. To be perfectly frank I couldn't give a monkeys about the past or the owners. It's a clean slate for me all round I'm looking forward to the new season & will banish all negativity regarding everything.

Looking forward to quoting this in mid Feb after losing 3-0 away at Shrewsbury on a Tuesday night leaving us 14th.

Couldn't give a monkeys about the owners???? Ffs they dictate everything that happens. Clean slate????? I would log off quickly if I were you fella. This divide you refer to could even become a bit of an irritation to some fans if it carries on beyond a couple of weeks.

i don't know how to break this to you but the manager will be selling paddles at @#/? Creek for a living when they add him to the long list of those they have shafted.

is your specialist subject , gross understatements ??

A clean slate for venkys.

It will be for some people everyone's different. I'm not in too deep it's watching a game of football & go home. I think we will do ok in league & slowly build from there it won't be a overnight thing more incremental over a period of time now.

Things are what there are. Me having on a rant on MB won't change a dickybird. Some people will agree some will disagree. My outlook will always remain positive. I've said enough for tonight. Night.
